One of my co-workers is generally referred to as the "paint wizard" at work. He does all of his own painting in his barn. He overheard me talking about "claying" my car, and he thought I was nuts, as he had never heard of this. Last week, he came to me asking about the clay as he had severe...
I always apply the sealant right after the TSR and the Finishing Glaze. Then the next day (after 12 hours has passed), I do a quick wash/rinse, and I wax the car.
I've used dental floss with really good results. Let the car sit in the sun for a while so the badge gets nice and warm. The wax coating on the dental floss will make it glide smoothly between the badge and the body panel. You can remove the residual tape/glue with any number of different...
From my research, tires are not perfectly round. Once force is applied to the tire (tire spinning with your car's weight on it), the shape of the tire is altered more. This could cause vibrations depending on the vehicle. You can get your tires balanced on a road force variance balancer, and...
Thanks guys! As far as the rims go, I just found out I have 2 tires that are bad (high road variance). So I'll probably be tire/rim shopping in the spring/summer.
I've found it easiest to just drag my creeper out into the driveway and "flop" down on it to work on the wheels. It gets me pretty much to eye-level with the wheels, and is MUCH more forgiving on my back.
I've used the wheel glaze on my 07 Maxima, and I'm really impressed with the results. My wheels had yellowish, brake dust stains and the wheel glaze took the stains right out! It goes on very easily but takes a little elbow grease to take off.
I tried Pinnacle Souveran paste on my silver 07 Maxima, and wasn't too impressed. I use it on my Wife's Majestik Blue 07 Altima, and it looks amazing. I picked up the small Fuzion on sale and tried that on my Maxima, and all I can say is . Now I know what people mean when they say a...
You're going to love the Wolfgang products! I'm sure I'm missing out on a lot of good products, because I've found that I like the Wolfgang products so much, that I use them exclusively.
:righton:
I was skeptical of spending the money for the Fuzion. I have Pinnacle Souveran paste wax, which I use on my wife's dark blue Altima. I used that on the silver Maxima, and I wasn't really impressed with it. It looked nice, but didn't really sparkle. I picked up the smaller sized Fuzion on a...
I know I'm applying an awful lot, but with another NE Ohio winter quickly approaching, I want to make sure I've got a nice coat of wax on it. Once it starts snowing here, I won't have another chance to wax it for 3-4 months. I figure I'll probable try to get one more coat on it just before the...
