**URGENT** Public Statement - Please Read

Just for your information, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police has advised me to issue a public statement that someone has been going around the Internet pretending to be me. The person is using my full name, Tim Lingor and/or 2hotford along with a photograph of me on certain sites as his avatar...

Vanilla moose vs Meguiars 81 hand polish

Hey, Clearkote's Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze is very different than Meguiar's M81 Hand Polish. VMW is a cleaner wax that removes mild oxidation. It contains a fair amount of oils and a pretty strong cleaner. Meg's M81 as Mike stated is a pure polish and not a cleaner wax. I use VMW under...

*Review* Meguiar’s D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream

Great explanation Al!! :) I have used M20 since the mid 1980's and just love the stuff!! It has light cleaners and at the same time provides a blend of waxes and polymers for very long lasting durability. My favorite combo for years was M20 topped with M26. That way you get the gloss and...

*Review* Meguiar’s D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream

Yes you could but I prefer either M21 or M20. :) Tim

*Review* Meguiar’s D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream

If I remember correctly, I believe I followed it with M21. I did test it as a wax without topping it on another vehicle and while it lasted a decent amount of time, I prefer to top it with M21 or M20 for longer lasting protection. :) I am not sure what you mean by resistance? If you mean did...

*Review* Meguiar’s D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream

LOLOL Yeah yeah.. :D Yep, that was April 2008! I was asked if I could post it here as many people here do not visit MOL, and because it is such a good product, it would be shame if people here did not see anything about it. :) Hopefully, I will be able to do other reviews of other products...

*Review* Meguiar’s D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream

    * *Note* I would like to thank Meghan and Autogeek for allowing me to post this review using pictures that have the MOL watermark. :) Originally posted April 2008. Hey everyone, Though I am a little late to the Meguiar's D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream party, I wanted to post a review of...

    System One

Hey, I really like their Spray Wax. I can apply it in the sun and it leaves a really high gloss! I was actually quite surprised in how well it worked!! :) Tim

    *Review!* Optimum's Protectant Plus!!

Thanks! I am glad to be here!!! :) I agree with you 100%!!! There are many excellent products out there and many I use are not Meguiar's! I have not tried 1Z Cockpit but I will see if I find some somewhere! :) Tim

    *Review!* Optimum's Protectant Plus!!

***Just a quick update!*** I have been monitoring the OPP very closely and I have been pleasantly surprised! The OPP does not seem to attract dust like other dressings! In the review I pointed out that OPP was not greasy and this has translated in less dust being attracted. Cool! When I...

*Review!* Meguiar's New Soft Buff 2.0 Pads!!!

Thanks Kelly! I appreciate the kind words! :) No, the new 2.0 pads are different as the old ones just use Velcro attached/glued to the pad. The new ones have a special laminate with the Velcro. But it is at the edges of the cutting pad mostly where it looks like either shrinkage is occurring...

*Review!* Meguiar's New Soft Buff 2.0 Pads!!!

Simply put, I do not know as I have never tried it. Again, being a rotary user, I rarely use the DA for paint correction in the first place. Hopefully someone that has tried both could chime in...??? Tim

    New Paint, Dumb Mistake!

I still encourage you to try and remove it first using a cleaner polish before turning to wet sanding or feather sanding. You may be surprised how easily the marring comes off of fresh paint. Another thing to consider is if you wet sand one spot, then when it is leveled it will show up like a...

    New Paint, Dumb Mistake!

Good point. As long as a wax or sealant is not used however, you are good to go until it cures. Meguiar's makes a product, M80 Speed Glaze which contains a paintable polymer and a cleaner. So it will help to protect that paint a little while the paint out gases and cures properly. Tim

    New Paint, Dumb Mistake!

Whoa..let's slow down a little first. That kit is an excellent start!! But.... However, I would not wet sand that spot. Have you wet sanded a vehicle before? It is easy to wet sand but difficult to remove the sanding marks and tracers left from sanding process without a rotary polisher...
