ive done 6 cars now, which isnt much and leaves me still in the newby status ......... but ive tried several swirl removers/compounds and i ALWAYS have to resort back to megs 105 cut with some ultimate compound ... maybe i have done the 6 hardest rock hard clear coats on earth, but i have never...
i thought the turtle wax went on kind of greasy, its a thick clear gel ... you're suppose to be in the sunlight when you apply it, then buff it back off with a micro fiber towel ... it buffed out kind of smooth and not too streaky, lets see how long it lasts (they claim 3 months) ... the overall...
I started this Friday night, worked on it all day Saturday and finished up around 3pm today. Full Correction and a quicky on the interior.
Is it me or no matter what compound/swirl remover you buy, you end up going back to the Megs 105? ... Just found out using the Megs Ultimate Compound mixed...
thanks bobby g ... after digging into this 95 mustang i end up using the meguiars ultimate compound and the yellow ccs cutting pad, 1 pass was getting the swirls out about 80% ... im still following it with the menz po85rd and the orange ccs pad ... now i just need some sunshine to make sure im...
auto geeks cut chart has it at a 7, but its listed as po85rd 3.02, po85rd isnt on the list so that confused me ... somebody posted that po85rd is a 3.5, that post is on a menzerna thread from 7/26/12 .......
i just posted in another thread that i cant believe that the po85rd is a 7 on the cut chart, yet it finishes and pops hard ...
i used it for an extra gloss on the vette after megs 105/205 ... that was someones advice i believe last year when i asked for some extra pop ...

i just realized that menz po85rd is a 7 on the cut chart, i had NO clue because of how nice it finishes out and pops ... being a newbie to this game, i have to say menz makes some bad...

Hey guys i need a little help ... im using a cheap craftsman rotary buffer, 1450-1600 are my 2 rpms speeds ... im correcting a swirled out red 1995 mustang gt ... i have played around with several pads and products ... im not going to use the megs 105 or surbuf pads, im done with both (too much...
mine wasnt that bad, but i had a few good chips ... you have to stand there and really look to see the touch ups, some of the smaller chips blended just about perfect ... it really tricks the eye and the front end is blue everywhere, no more black chips ... its def worth purchasing ... i used...
i used dr color chip on my '05 vette, i was so happy with the results that i opted not to have it re-sprayed ... its not as easy to use which they have you thinking in the video, but this product def worked on lemans blue ... get the large road rash bottle if your car is in bad shape ...
