I soaked a microfiber towel in ONR (Optimum No-Rinse) solution, heated up the towel with my steamer, and gently rubbed the switch with the towel.
This may sound crazy, but with pine sap, RainX works amazingly. Spray onto MF towel and prep against the sap. The sap dissolves immediately. Clean area with an APC and add your favorite LSP.

1275 is a great machine for the price. I just recently upgraded to the vx5000 and honestly am not that impressed with the VX compared to the little cheapo 1275. I kind of wished I kept saving up for the Kleenjet 1000CV instead.

I agree with Dave above. Grab some DG NuGlass and see if you can remove it with that. Apply some to a microfiber towel and gently wipe where the stain is. Sometimes a mist of water helps NuGlass from becoming too hard to work with and helps with wiping off the residue.
