The Scotchgard I found was a foam. How did you dalute yours?

I recently shampooed the carpet of my new car and then used Scotchgard. The problem with Scotchgard is it made my carpet much stiffer (took the softness out). I'll post some pics, but any washer that fits the backing plate and is at least 1/8 in thick will work. just take the plate to your local hardware store and find a couple washer that fit.

I saw the spray bottles at home depot and lowes.

The counterweight was attached but i did not attach the washer so I'm pretty sure it's the washer but I won’t know for sure until tomorrow. I'll let you know if it works or not.
