Hi Mike! I am actually using the 4" backing plate and 5" pads. If you can use this setup to polish out the back side of mirrors I am guessing my technique is flawed, which means more practice. What speed would you recommend I use on the flex?

I had the flex on speed 4. I couldnt keep it on the mirror housing. It was just too much. I will have to purchase a mini or something.

Any reason you use those instead of a dual 500 w halogen setup? I think those are 70$ish versus you said 450$ for yours.

I would try a different soap to see if it is the foam cannon. Also, use warm/hot water and only fill the bottle 3/4 way full. This usually gives me the best results.

I use them on my wheels, interior, door jams. I have a bunch of other expensive towels for removing wax etc.
