Starting Over - Help Me Build a Kit!

Alright, here's a few before/afters. I wish I'd taken some REAL befores, but I did a pretty big interior detail job last month and did some cleaning-as-I-went when doing a brake job last week. But still, I'm MORTIFIED that I let my car get this dirty as I used to be militant about keeping it...

Starting Over - Help Me Build a Kit!

Alright, well, here's what I ended up with. Koch Chemie Green Star and Pol-Star for the interior, Green Star will also be used in the engine bay and as pre-soak at a different dilution Gyeon Tar Remover and Spray Detailer/clay lubricant for my nanoskin sponge, which as best I can tell still...

Starting Over - Help Me Build a Kit!

Hi folks, I used to be quite into auto detailing and was absolutely militant about, if nothing else, keeping my own car clean. Unfortunately, I moved into an apartment with nowhere to wash my car, life caught up with me, started a business, etc etc etc, and now all of my product is at least 3-4...

Stubborn Water Spots: Let's Build a Shopping List

Bump! Just making sure I have everything. I recall being advised against Sonax on clear-coated wheels so an alternative would be nice. Really not happy with either of the CG wheel cleaners I've tried.

Stubborn Water Spots: Let's Build a Shopping List

Alright, so I'm thinking I'll go with this: Wolfgang Porter Cable 7424xp Ultimate Polishing Kit plus the Total Swirl Remover. Then some Iron-X, Poorboy's Natty Blue, DP Glass restorer, Sonax Full Effect for the wheels, Riccardo clay, some more microfibers... anything else I'm forgetting?

Stubborn Water Spots: Let's Build a Shopping List

I do not currently have a polisher. The PC7424 seems to be the standard, but I'm of course open to whatever. I'll check out those polishes for sure, as well as the pads.

Stubborn Water Spots: Let's Build a Shopping List

True enough. I'm hoping not ENTIRELY impossible, though - the thing is, it would be worth every penny of that $1400 because of how good he is, how helpful he's always been, and how much he knows, but between student loans, medical bills, and an uncertain job market, I just don't have that many...

Stubborn Water Spots: Let's Build a Shopping List

Hey Tom, Oregon. If the above story sounds familiar, it's because it was your excellent work that showed me "oh wow, my car can look REALLY good." Wasn't sure if you were on here, actually thought about giving you a call. Roof still looks flawless and I can't say enough good things about you...

Stubborn Water Spots: Let's Build a Shopping List

Hi Trekkeruss, Thanks for the heads up. I have already dug through that thread and tried a few of the suggestions (I have almost exclusively Type 2 water spots). While they have helped a little, I think I need to break out the big guns for this project.

Stubborn Water Spots: Let's Build a Shopping List

Hi all, First off, no photos at the moment due to it being spring in Portland, which means it's grey and rainy so the water spots aren't showing up very well. Here's the situation - I have a 2014 BRZ and, to put it mildly, when washing it after I got it, I had a tendency to drastically neglect...
