My 1st legit wheel cleaning disaster…

In your defense, you can see the black coming though the silver in the first picture. The front passenger wheel is clear, it was starting back then. I can see in on the driver side also, but not as obvious.

My 1st legit wheel cleaning disaster…

I wonder if they were originally black and had a bad repaint?

    Cerakote ceramic sealant coating...

I have used their ceramic trim kit and it is fantastic. I recommend a knock down after a few minutes to even it out, but I have used it on two 2016 vehicles over a year ago and the trim still looks fantastic, dries easy with a blower.

Ceramic coated my car, residue remaining

I just took out the high spots on my car with some mild polish on a microfiber towel. If it's a tiny spot it's easier to only hit that spot, and IME you can "FEEL" when it's gone/diminished. Sometimes you wont even take out the coating.

What did you do today non-detailing related?

When I was doing the coating I heard a loud pop, figure out what it was today when I back out of the garage. Spring blocks were still in.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Got the new Camaro back yesterday from PPF installation. They actually covered more than I was initially told so I'm much happier with the price. Nearly lower foot of the entire car covered, besides the entire front end. They were booked a few weeks out, and then was out of town for a while...

Here is a problem to solve!

Just finished the polish. Now it waits for PPF.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Green pad/M205/15mm throw the entire ZL1. Never got close until I bought one to realize the grille and air ducts around the "fauxglight"(extra DRLs) are painted a metallic charcoal. Thought it was just glossy plastic. Washed the CX-5. Here is a nightmare: they are doing construction at my...

Here is a problem to solve!

Thank You! I've wanted a ZL1 since the 5th gen, and I kept saying that would be the next Camaro. But time is running out, so I felt it was now or never, especially with all the BS going on with GM and the Camaro right now. I have previously had a 67 Firebird 400, 69 Camaro RS, 2002 Z28 6 speed...

Here is a problem to solve!

It basically is. :D I know you don't have to, and it's most likely redundant, but I like to do it just in case, because I just prefer to wash again. I've done it without the extra wash before, but I prefer the redundant wash, illogical or not. If there is a very slight chance something got in...

Here is a problem to solve!

It was run through a contact tunnel wash at some point in its 14 miles life before it got to me. or else some idiot washed it I just started correcting it, after a foam/pressure rinse/ Iron Decon/pressure rinse, hand wash, clay, hand wash. I did a test run and my first try got great...

Here is a problem to solve!

Alternate it is. This is going to break my tradition of putting a sealant/wax on the day I get the car. I'm not very worried about stone chips, I know my area enough of where I can go and where I shouldn't. I've had that bottle of UQD for years, but I actually bought it right before I...

Here is a problem to solve!

I have a new car being delivered on the 6th, and have a bit of a predicament: The soonest my go to shop can install PPF is when I won't be in town, so I have had to schedule it for the first few days of August. After the PPF cures I will coat it(this will be my 5th coating, so not a rookie) I...

    Turtle Wax GRAPHENE Flex Wax

I'm curious as to if this is any good. I finally got around to trying their hybrid solutions ceramic spray, which I applied to a surface that had been prepared with a strip wash and then their "matching" ceramic polish, More than a day curing between the steps, while parked in the garage, and it...

Turtle Wax Hybrid Spray Coating - Are the reviews misleading?

I saw them on a shelf at a store and the name "polishing compound" seemed very old school, got me curious if it was a polish or a compound. I don't think it(the polishing compound) is aggressive(haven't used it, but watched some reviews online), and I'm not defending them, I don't care for the...
