    +1 Some people do not like MF Cutting pads on the 3401; but I find that they work very well on harder paint systems. I pair the 6", Meguiar's DAMC with M100. If you need something local or in smaller quantities, Ultimate Compound will work as well.

    I am beginning to agree with you As far as running larger pads with the PE8... I ran it for about 10 minutes with a 5.3" wool pad and the tool became too hot to hold on to. I do not think the machine will tolerate larger pads without failing in short order.

    In my opinion, it is only worth it if you are going to coat the inner barrels AND they are visible thru the face of the wheel. I clean and wax my wheel wells as part of my weekly wash I do not clean the barrels of the stock wheels on my Chevy Equinox lease vehicle. They appear powder coated...
