Thanks, these look like pretty good options. Any tips on use for our headlights?
I may try using elbow grease first, and if I don't get decent results will probably try to scary world of power tools for auto detailing :poke:
I will try to get some pictures posted...
My headlights really aren't that bad, just in the corners they are starting to pitt.
I REALLY don't want to use sandpaper, as I am truly afraid of messing my headlights up. The adaptive BMW Xenon headlights are like $1200 EACH.
Do you think using the...
I bought the DP headlight polish and protection spray.
My headlights aren't terrible.. just starting to show signs of slight pitting and slight cloudiness and normal wear. No yellowing.

Sure PM me your instructions!
I did buy the smaller Klasse Kit off of this website, which came with applicator pads, and MF towels, and basic instructions. No need to send yours if they are the same as the out of the box instructions.
They do say to dampen the applicator pads/towels for...
I did wonder about the re-wash after claying the car... since in theory, the AIO is kind of like a pre-wax/sealant cleaner in itself.
And, I want to layer the SG at least twice just to make sure I get 100% coverage. From my few tests with it (I got a Carbon fiber spoiler that I used it on to...
I have a 2008 BMW 3 series with the notorious "Jet Black"
After much research, I bought some Klasse AIO and SG
I have a few questions:
Firstly - the proper complete steps are as follows:
Wash
Clay bar
Wash
Klasse AIO
Klasse SG - and wait 8-12 hrs between layering
Secondly, how long...
I believe, after much research and all of your help...
Optimum Car Wax might be the best solution for me. Looks like a great wax that has UV protection, unlike many others.
My only question regarding this product is - should I seal the clear coat first with something like Klasse and then apply...
Yea, after a quick google... I was thinking Opti-Lens and not Opti-Coat... not realizing they were different products...
Im not looking for a "one-time" solution.. I usually wash/clay/wax my car a few times over a year, with weekly car-wash spray-off's (manual, not that auto-car wash brillow...
No, I do think Opti-Lens is a possible, good solution... like my other response to you first suggesting this though is, that I thought it was made for plastic's... not necessarily paint and/or clear coat...
Every time I've ever stumbled across Opti... was in headlight restoration threads/post...
Agree.
I am def leaning towards NOT wrapping it, and just using sealant+wax regularly on it, as there doesn't seem to be any clear vinyl's out there that do what I am after.
Not at all... I just like open discussion about things... isn't that what a forum is for?
I know there is no "magic" product... but I am just looking for the best option for my particular application, and I figure many of the experts on this site would have some insight as to which they might...
I agree... The more research I do on clear wraps, the less I want to use them... All the auto clear wraps are just what you said... They protect against rock chips... None of them seem to include UV protection as one of their qualities.
I'm ok with a wrap and it not looking "as good" as clear...
