2015 Nissan Rogue purchased in 2014. A few weeks ago I deconned, clay towelled, Megs M205, Sonax Polymer Netshield. About an hour ago I applied a coating of Extreme Solutions Topper. The gloss should intensify by tomorrow. Had to put in low res images which don't really show the mirror finish.

    Griot’s 3 in 1 Ceramic Longevity & upkeep

Somewhat off topic.... I wanted to use up my can of Sonax Polymer Net Shield, so that's what I used today on my black Nissan after a clay towel, and Meg's 205 polish. The PNS gives insane beading and darkens black paint. With that said, I'm not really sure if it adds any gloss. On my red...

Did I waste time today with a LSP?

3 month old car. Had a coat of Finish Kare 1000 on it from first week. Foamed, washed, iron decon, no tar I could see so I skipped that. Clayed with a clay mitt and Griot's regular Speed Shine (not the ceramic one). Then rinsed the car and blew it dry. Water was pretty flat, but not totally...

    System X by Element 119?

I used the above back in 2010. Best coating I ever used. Dust and pollen were repelled. I did nothing but wash the vehicle every few months, and never topped it at all. It beaded like crazy for 3 or 4 years... And then I sold the vehicle. In 2014 I needed more for a new vehicle, but it...

    Kranzle pressur washer mounted up.

And, is it bolted to the shelf to keep it from vibrating itself off the shelf and on to the floor?

Best electric power washer for 200$? +accessories

Resurrecting an old thread. I have a gas powered pressure washer (3200 PSI, 2.5 GPM) that is probably too powerful for use on car paint. You also have to operate it at full volume and cannot turn it down, other than by using different nozzles which do little more than change how wide of a...

How To: Sonax Polymer Net Shield Paint & Wheels

I have a can on the way right now. I'm curious though. If the application is mostly similar to that of a coating, then why not just use a coating and get better longevity?

How To: Sonax Polymer Net Shield Paint & Wheels

Everyone talks about the grabby feeling of this sealant. With that said, how does that grabbiness affect the removal of bugs from the front end of the vehicle? Do bugs "stick" to the PNS, or are they easy to remove? Does the PNS stand up to bugs, or do bugs remove it? All I've seen mentioned...

Gyeon Mohs and Trim application questions

Sorry!!! Lots and lots of questions.... Getting ready to use these products for the first time, and I have some questions that the instruction guide does not address. After decon (Tar X, Iron X, fine clay towel), I plan on using Opt Hyper Polish as the finishing polish with some Hydro Tech...

Yeah, would be nice if people would read the 1st post, where the OP asks you to include what products are on the vehicles.

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

Will these pads, compounds and polishes work with a non-long-throw DA, such as the GG 6" ROP, or are they designed solely for long throw machines?

Clay towel/mitt on textured plastic trim?

I was wondering if you can use a clay towel/mitt on textured black plastic trim. Would it damage the plastic trim on fenders and bumpers. I wouldn't use a clay bar due to it possibly leaving some clay in the texture, but since the towel is more of a solid and not plasticky, I guess there'd be...

2015 Nissan Rogue SL: Purchased new in October 2014. Wolfgang Uber AIO in November 2014. By February 2015 no longer beading, but still nice polished shine. Meg's Quik Wax in May 2015, and washed yesterday and sprayed with Permanon Car. Car has lots of orange peel!!! Yeah, tires and rims need...

    clay towels / mitts

I see multiple brands of clay towels. Auto Chem, Speedy, Nanoskin, Optimum, etc. I've also seen mitts. Are any of the brands truly "better" than the others? Is a 7" x 7" big enough for most jobs, or should i go for a 12" x 12"? I figure the smaller one might not need to be folded during...

    Natural bristle, brush questions

I just recently found a box full of my grandfather's 1960's era paint brushes that he used as a professional building painter (painter's union) back in the day. All of the brushes are new in the original wrapping and none have ever been used. They range is size from about 1.5" to 4.5". The...
