I just met a boat owner who had his 72 viking sporty coated 2 plus years ago with ceramic pro, there was still plenty of coating left on the main house, as well as the hull. Vikings are notorious for having really bad gel. Does anyone know the durability of the captains coating?

8 months, now I am getting excited!! Mike what do you think would be reasonable expectations in the florida weather? Do you think 12 months is achievable, if the vessel is maintained properly, weekly wash downs, etc??

What ceramic coatings has anyone tried on boats, specifically gel coated boats? Seems there are new coatings popping up weekly, trying to get a feel for which ones actually work, by work I mean lasting longer than 12 months.

Who is making the best white wool pads, (ones that won't break the bank :) The ones I am using now do not last.

Would the same process you use on gel coat work just as well on marine paint??

Sorry, I meant after you have done your polishing and are applying your final coat of wax or polymer sealer.

Hey mike, When working on bigger boats, 50 + what is the best / fastest way to remove the sealer. I see some people removing by hand which seems to be very time consuming, and I have seen others using a yellow wool pad on a rotary. What would you recommend? Thanks.

Hey mike, I would like to try the marine 31 products. Can you give me an idea of the compound and polishes as well as the corresponding pads that you would use to remove swirls from gel coat using a rotary polisher only. Thank you.
