    SEMA 2024

After experiencing Reset and Bathe coagulate on me after letting them sit around for a while, I started to wonder if thicker soaps might have a longer shelf life. The things I would do to be friends with a chemical blender haha

    SEMA 2024

Pure Wash has been my new go-to. Not as cost effective as Hyper Wash, but I feel ok paying a slight premium for a thinner formula and incredible scent. I'm legit sad to pour my wash bucket down the drain when I'm done lol

    SEMA 2024

if Meguiar's only changed the scent of the original Hyper Wash, that might not go over well. My hope is they made the formula less thick so they could compete with the current high-end shampoo options. Even at $19 for 32oz, it'd still be a good value compared to other options. They also need...

    SEMA 2024

Very excited to test out the new Hyper Wash! I've been waiting for a tweak to that product for a LONG time. My only gripes were the viscosity, packaging, and smelling that same cherry scent for over a decade haha

    SEMA 2023/2024 New Products

A place where I think there's a ton of room, and has been for quite some time, is product transparency. Bilt Hamber just released a simple glass cleaner, but the video they provided was something I'm not used to in the detailing world. They gave great insights into the chemistry and testing...

How are spray and rinse sealants like HydrO2 legal?

I could understand a contained product like a spray wax or tar remover having these warnings, but not a spray and rinse sealant that's routinely washed down driveways, drains, etc. How are companies able to sell products like this in the US?

What is the point of a ceramic coating if you have to maintain it?

I must have missed some notifications Mike, but she's a beaut! God do I miss traditional sealants...no masks so you don't inhale fumes...no stressing over high spots...no throwing away microfiber towels. Good times!

The video Gyeon didn’t want you to see

I was momentarily a fan of Gyeon and reserve the right to hop back on their bandwagon, but I'm not a fan of misleading information. The attached pic is straight from their US website. I've clicked on every link on their site and typed in every google search possible and still cannot find...

EPA Safer Choice - Why No Detailing Companies?

Hey guys, hope everyone's having a great day. Does anyone have any industry knowledge as to why there aren't any detailing chemicals that are EPA Safer Choice approved? I see plenty of well known general cleaners that have been approved by the EPA, but none from detailing specific companies...

    SEMA 2021/2022 New Products

lol, just drop a little espresso in there and the little italian bull fires right back up. I really do hope they bring a cordless DA to the table this year though. Realistically they could have thrown together a cordless polisher just like all of these other companies, but they chose to wait...

    SEMA 2021/2022 New Products

Supposedly Rupes is releasing something big, despite them passing on SEMA this year. I'm keeping my expectations low, but is this the year they finally release a cordless DA?

    Best Brand Top to Bottom

If Meguiar's made their Professional Detailer lineup a little more premium, they'd get the easy nod from me. There's affordable pricing, and then there's pricing that's so low that it makes you question what's wrong with the product. Two Meguiar's products that fall into the "priced too low"...

    Current Favorite Soap/Shampoo

How has your experience been with the IK Foam 9? On another suppliers website, it specifically states to not use the Ik Foam sprayers with Alkaline/Solvent based products. Theoretically, that should rule out using prewashes with it. Has yours held up? Thanks

Megs Wheel Brightener vs Sonax Full Effect

Am I missing something here? The Wheel Brightener rim looks much cleaner than the Sonax rim. Seems like there's just tar or something stuck on the wheel brightener rim

    simple green

It's tough to determine how real these stories are because, like Bob mentioned, when we're talking about metals, water itself is one corrosive son of a b. I just have a hard time believing products that specifically say on the label that they're corrosive, are safer than a product like Simple...
