    Your Other Car...

I recently applied OC 2.0 to my truck and Tuf shine coating on my tires. Reduces my maintenance time significantly. In the process I made sure to brainwash the wife a bit so she now undertands what a 2BM is, can do an ONR wash or Waterless wash with MF towels. I also have her spotting swirls...

    Stained wheels

Thanks. It doesn't look that bad until you are looking directly at them up close. I'll ask the owner what they want to do, probably just OC them and be done.

    Stained wheels

Opticoated and Tuff Shined a set of wheels/tires today. Actually left one wheel without OC because it is stained. These wheels had brake rust residue, dirt, you name it, caked on. The one wheel I didn't OC also had streak marks. Once I cleaned them all up, I tried everything I could think of...

Doctor up my failing clear coat

If I work up the nerve to do it, I'll post back. My priority is prepping my tires and finally applying Tuf shine (it's been staring at me for a week already!). Then I'm doing a rock chip repair on the wife's vehicle using the Langka system, followed by a full detail and OC 2.0. This thread...

Doctor up my failing clear coat

Ever polish to the point where you can see the cars paint color on your pad? I would polish up to this point on ONLY the cloudy clearcoat section. In my opinion a very small area of dull black paint would be less noticeable than the cloudy clear coat. If I OC over this area, it would at least...

Doctor up my failing clear coat

I would keep polishing until I see the basecoat color (black) on my pad. I wouldn't try to blend OC to the existing surrounding clear, I would just apply OC to the small section I worked on and it should look less noticeable than the dull spot of clear I polished off. I am not a paint expert...

Doctor up my failing clear coat

Inbelieve you are correct, but would it matter? I would still have clear protection over the black paint in a 4"x4" area

Doctor up my failing clear coat

I can't see why it wouldn't work. I'm basically removing the clear coat where it's dull and then putting a thin layer back with OC (I would put about 3 layers of OC).

Doctor up my failing clear coat

I have one panel where the clear coat is failing. I opticoated the entire panel in an attempt to slow down the process. I have an area, as seen in the picture, where there is a dull circle. I want to tape it off and use Meg's Ult compound by hand to polish away the clear and then put OC over...

    Eliminating interior odor

I once had a flood in my basement....couldn't get rid of the smell. Someone suggested coffee grinds. I sprinkled them all over the carpet (once it was dry of course) and left it for a couple days. Then I vacuumed up it all up. It smelled of coffee for a week and then dissipated and no more...

Washing brake dust off wash sponge

I have an Opti-Mitt wash sponge that I use with ONR. I stupidly used the yellow/rough side on my wheels and now I'm afraid to use it for my next wash. How can I wash out the brake dust? I use the black side on my paint, so brake dust shouldn't be on that side, but I want to make sure I get it...

    Wheel wells

Applied OC 2.0 to my entire truck. Looks great, even in the sun, except for the wheel wells. I clean them regularly with a brush, but they have a dull appearance and although I have 20" rims, they don't fill the space enough to hide the wheel wells. Any solution to this problem that has...

    Opti-Coat 2.0 Unanticipated Problem

Op- are you satisfied with the result? It only has to look good to you. Most people, if not all, will not notice slight imperfections (we have a trained eye that most people lack). I did my entire truck with OC 2.0. It looks amazing, but definitely has some light scratches left over. Hey...

Rock chip repair and detail ending in OC 2.0

Trying to figure out the best order to repair rock chips in a hood, do a paint correction and apply OC 2.0. So far here's where I'm at: -Repair the chips (touch up paint and Langka) -Wait a couple weeks and clay the hood, paint correction, OC 2.0 I'm unsure if it'll be a problem to apply OC so...

Leather conditioners that cause seats to become slippery?

Leatherique or LeatherWorldTech Conditioning cream is good. Most seats are leather with a water based paint on top. The conditioners still get through IME. I would clean, condition, then apply a leather protectant.
