Can test spots for paint correction be done in direct sunlight?. Don't have sufficient lighting as of yet. The vehicle is a Honda Accord and the colour is white.

I want to hide swirls not correct the paint that's why I'm seeking advice if a paint cleaner would do it or a glaze. If I use both will one be overkill?.
