    Pic Heavy: Trashed interior Job

I may get flamed for this comment, but so be it. I have a 15 year old Ford F-150 truck as a daily driver that I bought new, and a now 18 year old son who spent a huge majority of his life in it. If I had 'never' cleaned the truck from the day I picked it up until today, it wouldn't look...

    finally finished my cart

Nice cart. I too finished my cart recently, but I built it from scratch with some left over materials from a large library project I did. All in, I have less than $50 total invested. Have a look and see what you think.

    Wheel Sealant/Wax

I just bought a new set of wheels for my truck. This time I went with a set of black painted and machined rims instead of chrome. (See pic below of rim.) My question is simple. I want to get a coat or two of 'something' on these rims before I install them on the truck the first time to...

    My Homemade/Repurposed Detailing Cart

Not bad. Not bad at all. For me, I simply had to "have it my way" when it came to a cart. I build a lot of furniture related items, which results in a fair amount of left over materials accumulating. As such, I decided to take these left overs and make myself what I'm calling the "Mac...

    Microfiber Towels

Please forgive my apparent ignorance. Autogeek is certainly my go to location for my detailing needs, but many times there are specialty vendors out there who sell a single, high quality product at a very competitive price that are difficult to overlook. I certainly didn't mean to lay the...

    Microfiber Towels

Other than the towels sold at Autogeek (which I have a number of), who sells the least expensive yet highest quality microfiber towels? I'm talking about plush wax/polish removal and QD towels, not utility or drying towels.

Quick Detailer / Gloss Enhancer after Drying

What's the application process for Aqua Wax? Do you use it like a regular spray wax (i.e. on a clean, dry, finish), or do you spray it on the vehicle while its still wet and then dry? Is it necessary to keep it off the glass and moldings? Didn't see any hints on application on the Autogeek...

Quick Detailer / Gloss Enhancer after Drying

What's 'BF' and 'BFWD'? Is this Blackfire stuff? Sorry, newbie when it comes to all the acronyms.

    Best dressing for engine bay?

Get a couple cans of CD-2 from your local auto parts store. Its both a terrific product and very cost effective. This is what the engine bay on my 12 year old, 110k mile daily driver Ford F150 looks like most of the time after an application of CD-2.

What do you dry your car off with?

No. I tried it one time, but I need air 'volume' not 'pressure', so the leaf blower is IMO a much better solution. Also, a side benefit is that after the leaf blower runs for a while, the air circulating through it is heated by the blower itself which also aids the drying effort.

Quick Detailer / Gloss Enhancer after Drying

My standard process when washing my truck is to use a leaf blower to blow off the surface after washing, then finish my drying effort with a good waffle weave towel. The process has worked very well for me. Then, if polishing/waxing is not possible due to time or other constraints, I apply a...

What do you dry your car off with?

Step one to remove 90% of the water..... Then I finish up with a waffle weave towel from Autogeek. This process removes both the surface water 'and' the water hiding in, under, and around all the gaps and recesses, and limits the amount of rubbing on the paint.

Need an Orlando Florida based Detailer

Forgive me if this is posted in the wrong location on the board, but I did not see a specific location that looked right. I need to find a local (Orlando, Florida) detailer who has a good steamer/extractor to work over the carpets, mats, and interior in my wife's Nissan Pathfinder. The car is...

What To Use On My Interior?

I know you huys have to have more suggestions. I need some feedback from people who know more than me about interior detailing (which is pretty much everyone here). :bump2:

Wax you can apply to entire vehicle and still easily remove?

+100 I use PB's EX first. Wipe it on thin and leave it sit on the finish for 30 minutes to an hour to maximize setup. Wipe off the EX (really easy if the finish was prepped right), and wipe on a coat of PB's Naty's Blue (either liquid or paste). The final look is super.
