Is there an easy way to treat inner plastic fenders on trucks

Thanks everyone for the good suggestions. I may pick up the Mequiar's and try it in my insect sprayer and see how it goes. Bill

Is there an easy way to treat inner plastic fenders on trucks

Hi All, So today I didn't have much time but I couldn't stand the way my fender wells looked after the winter so I got out some tire black and a sponge and went about coating the plastic fender wells. What a PITA and knees. Is there a spray on product that I can spray and let dry and requires...

Tips & Techniques for using a Spray Detailer to Remove Light Dust, Fingerprints and Smudges

Mike, thanks for this. I was pretty sure the snow flurry spotted dust was more than what would be safe for a spray detailer and your post confirmed it. Bill

    First winter wash

Thanks, I'm originally from Milford, CT, right across the sound from you but I've lived in New Hampshire for just over 30 years.

    First winter wash

And just a comment about the ceramic coating. It does not prevent a buildup of salt and the buildup does not wash off with just water. My truck required a standard bucket washing to remove the buildup.

    First winter wash

To set the stage for you southern folks, this is what it looked like 7 days ago after 18" of snow. Luckily we had a stormy warm up for Christmas which washed away most of it. So no warm garage, outside water turned off so it won't freeze. With my white truck I would just go through the...

    winter storage

I have my shop in my barn. It is mildly insulated and not tight at all. I have a hanging garage heater (Hot Dawg) and I keep it at 36° unless I'm in it which is maybe 5 or 6 eight hour days during the winter. In New Hampshire I probably use $300-350 worth of propane during Dec-March. It's...

    Salts Gone

Has anyone tried this product? It claims it is safe for wax and ceramic. I'm looking for a touchless way to wash off my Kenzo coated truck between bucket washes up here in my New Hampshire winter and as you know water alone doesn't cut it. Thoughts? Thanks Bill FAQs (saltsgone.com)

Putting on IGL Premier or the like? Do I want a short nap towel for applying this or doesn't it matter? Thanks

    DI for rinse or not

Yes, that may be my first choice now that I know my TDS is low. I was looking at the system with the RO membrane because I know they have long life and would mean changing DI even less often I also have a 4 stage system in my laundry room that I used to use for the reef tank and now just tap...

    DI for rinse or not

It's not a high capacity system and it will take most of a day to fill a 5 gal bucket but that's all I need. 50-Gallon Four stage

    DI for rinse or not

I'm considering a cheap 4 stage RO/DI system (w/refilable DI cartridge), 60 bucks actually. I already have what I need to autofill a 5 gal bucket. I figure the filters will last a long time for my expected water usage. I may also try a $30 garden hose resin cartridge for the winter just to...

    DI for rinse or not

Thanks all. Familiar with RO/DI as I had a reef tank for 10 years. Not a professional. I do have the big WORX battery washer (725psi) that I purchased specifically for winter washing and have considered just buying Distilled water but I think it's close to 2 bux a gallon here, will need to...

    DI for rinse or not

Hi all, The TDS out of my outside spigot is 28. Would I benefit from a DI system or is that low enough? The kitchen sink is at about 45. Thanks Bill
