About the sent. I have the coating already. I didn’t get near the performance I should have. I started thinking that maybe someone bought and returned this talking the coating.

What sent if any does this product have? Does it smell like Isopropyl alcohol?

I don’t think there’s any actual citrus in the meguiar’s. It’s just citrus scented.

Just did a set like that. What’s weird was iron x soap straight didn’t react nor did meguiar’s dub wheel cleaner. Also tried meguiar’s non acid 4 to 1 with no results. Had to go to an old standby poorboy’s spray and rinse. It’s acid so don’t let it dry. I used it 4 to 1.

You only have so much clearcoat so you should always start with the least aggressive method first. As for the handwashing in the winter I would stay away. The swirls don’t usually come from the drying it’s the washing where the damage happens.

If they’re coated with anything decent you’d want to remove that first. Find out what exactly was used on the wheel faces.

Not the ultimate test but you can try it on a CD/DVD to see if it scratches.

Did you clean the area first?

Have a back up to HD speed. In my experience it tends to stick to Subaru paint.
