Take Me To Paint And Body Work School/What's Next?

I don't know if you misunderstood what I'm asking, so I will be more specific. The roof of my trucks paint was peeling. A paint and body shop tech took it to his paint shop and sanded it, primed it, painted it, then clear coated it. What I want to know is, when can I polish, wax, spray detail...

Take Me To Paint And Body Work School

2007 F150, Dark Blue Pearl Metallic First of all, if this is not the correct forum for this, please move it. About 10-11 years ago, a pecan fell from a tree and put a small chip (about a 1/4" in diameter) in in my roofs paint. I used some chip repair to fill it and all was good. Well, it wasn't...

    Swirl Marks/Spider Webs

I still have some BLACKFIRE WET DIAMOND sealant. Are you referring to that? I have been wanting to try that new 3 IN 1 wax. I do have some paste Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. I want to use something that won't bankrupt my checking account, but will at least cut the swirl marks a little bit. Sounds like...

    Swirl Marks/Spider Webs

Paul, where in Tampa are you located? I used to live in Seffner, FL. 1987-2012. I used to do my friends and neighbors detailing on the weekends. I have also used a few local detailers there to do the FULL DETAIL (wash, clay, paint prep, polish, wax). Anyway, so I made a mistake posting in the...

    Swirl Marks/Spider Webs

I'm sorry I posted it here. I looked at some of the replies here and figured it would be better here. You can move it, erase it, whatever. I'm sorry that I made a mistake and posted it here. Next time I will ask before I post! I APOLOGIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dunno:

    Swirl Marks/Spider Webs

I own a 2007 F-150, Regular Cab, Dark Blue Pearl Metallic. It has swirl marks/spider webs in the clear coat. I don't own any type of buffing machine so everything will have to be done by hand. Is there some sort of compound that can be applied by hand to at least remove a little bit of these...

    Resin On My Hood

UPDATE; This AM, I used the razor blade method on my hood that the detailer used in his video to remove the foam epoxy from the paint. He told me to prepare my razor blade by passing it back and forth over my windshield and then remove the resin from my hood. IT WORKED! The resin came off like...

    Resin On My Hood

I contacted the detailer in the video I posted and talked to him about the resin on my hood. He explained to me how he does his removal with a razor blade and how I should prepare my razor blade to do the same. He stated that it should take the resin off. I will keep you posted.

    Resin On My Hood

2007 F-150, Dark Blue Pearl Metallic About a week ago my son used a RAIN-X chip repair kit to fix a chip in my windshield. The wind blew the resin tube across my hood leaving a few spots of resin on my hood. It was not noticed because the resin is clear. By the time it had dried it was night...

    Blackfire; Creamy Or Liquid?

Really? I'm going to try that. I also read on another forum to put the bottle in the fridge and it will go back to normal. I did that last night and checked it this AM. Sure enough, it's like new again. But, I'm sure it's not a good idea to apply it cold. Even if it stays in the very liquid...

    Blackfire; Creamy Or Liquid?

I have about a half bottle (8 oz.) of Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection of a 16 oz bottle. I received it from a member here about 2 years ago. It has been in storage for about 1-1/2 years. I wanted to use it today and noticed it had separated. After a few minutes of shaking the...
