Update!!! The pics above show FG400 with a white pad. I moved to orange for a little more correction and followed with SF4000. There are still some RIDS, but I'm happy with how it came out. The car looks much better now.

I have the car back now (no sanding to worry about). I'll be sure to practice on an older vehicle before attempting any corrections. Everyone, thanks for all the advice. I will keep this thread updated with my progress and pictures.
