    Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax

No, sorry I have not read through the entire thread. Will have a search through. Other then washing the car is there another method to remove the streaking? It just makes my paint work look uneven and poor. Also, anybody applied it to glass ? Coated half my windscreen (again, bit blotchy)...

    Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax

I have been applying this to my black Subaru Forester, unfortunately during the "base" process which I assume it's a wipe on and wipe off process, but it is leaving behind a blotchy type finish. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong ? I have tried using more product, less product, instantly wiping...

Hazing/Residue/Film left over after buffing Sealant/Wax

I'll try letting it cure, it's winter here at the moment, temps are about 10C during the day. I feel like no matter what I try, the results are still very mediocre. Leaving a a hard to see film behind (only visible in certain lights and angles ) is not the way it's meant to be...right? I have...

Hazing/Residue/Film left over after buffing Sealant/Wax

Good idea, Ill give it a go. I washed the car after 205 - used a mix of my neutral snow foam with a squirt of some dishwashing liquid - car is bare.

Hazing/Residue/Film left over after buffing Sealant/Wax

I have tried my luck at using some Fusso, having some pretty poor results. Though I suspect its not the product, but perhaps my technique. I have never applied a sealant before. Plenty of wax's sure, but never a sealant. It seems no matter how little or how much I apply, nor how long or short I...

Just finished compounding/Polishing - lots of dust, want to wash but what soap to use ? Gold class?

I ended up just washing the car with some gold wash. Dried it off and applied my wax. That said I notice some very very fine swirls in direct sunlight. I could see them under my lights I normally use and they are very hard to see, but I am assuming this is not normal and maybe I should have...

Just finished compounding/Polishing - lots of dust, want to wash but what soap to use ? Gold class?

Finishing up polishing my car, and there is alot of polish dust everywhere. I think it would be best for me to give it a wash before I apply my wax, but was wondering if I wash my car with Meguiar's gold class car wash, Will it be fine for me to dry and apply wax straight up? Paint is as...

Subaru Forester MY09 XT Premium in Obsidian Black

This has got to be one of the biggest detailing projects I have done (mind you I havn't done very many, only doing my personal cars!). I bought this car a few weeks ago and could not stand looking at all the weird swirl marks, dulled paint, buffer trails and random scratches. I wish I took...

Picking up a "new" used car - How to start removing all the previous "detailing"?

Funny thing - I have never actually used a APC :\ There are a few simple green products that are readily available from my local hardware store, but I feel they might be too harsh. Not sure what ones are available local me down under (Australia)

How do I get that "wet look"?

The wet sand, cut and buff was done after I felt the painted cured for a bit. It had never quite the same since. I can't put a exact date on the sand, but would have been well after the paint had cured id say. I've personally never tried a glaze. Would love too but they seem a rarity in Australia!

How do I get that "wet look"?

Well, i guess its in the eye of the beholder. It has several "craters/fish eyes" (it was water/silicone contamination in my air lines) and a couple of runs. I managed to wet sand out some of the defects, but some I think are just too deep. P.S my name is Ben, I can see how my first post can...

I repainted it in the factory color, Laguna Blue I think its called, its a metallic. I bought it with 140ish km's on it, now it has 160,000km though its recently had a full motor rebuild, new NB higher comp pistons, rings, bearings, cylinder head reco'd, borla cat back exhaust and some coil...
