Leather World Top Coat long-term review

That was fast. I spent two hours slowly, carefully removing the peeling top coat from my seat with a horse hair brush last night. Praying I don’t see any damage to the leather in the sun today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Leather World Top Coat long-term review

This is going to be the starting point for this product. It was first applied 3.1.21. ‘Leather World Technologies Top Coat is a Professional grade water-based coating for top-coated (pigmented) leather and vinyl. Whether you are trying to add extra durability to you newly recolored or repaired...

Accidental discovery resulted in showroom-matte seats

This is the kind of reply I was hoping for here! -You didn’t say what type of Leather you we’re working on It’s BMW Dakota leather from a 2017 M240i with 50,XXX miles -What was D101’s dilution ratio? {And D101’s safeness on leather? Link please. TIA.} Dilution was 1:10, and safeness on...

Accidental discovery resulted in showroom-matte seats

I have tried countless leather cleaners over the past 6 months trying to get these seats showroom fresh and so far, nothing had made a dent. They are ‘clean’ but stay quite shiny. I remembered I had Leatherique, so on a whim I decided to try it on my passenger seat. Then I realized I only had...

Thoroughly impressed with Optimum Wash & Wax

Edited! Sorry, I never really see the bottle so I misspoke.

Thoroughly impressed with Optimum Wash & Wax

Yes it does, except for the trunk and rear bumper. Those both have a bit of grit if you really feel for it.

Thoroughly impressed with Optimum Wash & Wax

No noticeable fallout on the paint or glass. The wheels need some clay and/or ironx, but those aren't too bad yet either!

Thoroughly impressed with Optimum Wash & Wax

Through my automotive career, I've had access to just about everything except the permanent ceramic sealants. I've had waxes worth $$$, sealants worth the same... in the end, I was happy with a $40 bottle of Blackfire Wet Diamond and then even happier with a $15 sprayable bottle of Optimum Car...

    Off-center steering wheel

No one can ever seem t get my steering wheel right. I put a piece of painter's tape on the wheel and column, and draw 1-3 lines connecting the two pieces of tape together to show them where I want the steering wheel to be.

Leatherique PSA - awful user experience, but at the fault of my own

The torn parts have been replaced with brand new material. I suppose that's the route I should have went with, I just read so much how it should be really slathered on. Definitely regretted it and learned a lesson though.

Leatherique PSA - awful user experience, but at the fault of my own

Believe it or not, the new seat bottoms are aftermarket synthetic leather.

Leatherique PSA - awful user experience, but at the fault of my own

I used Leatherique rejuvenator approximately April, 2015. I did what I *thought* was right for my first use of Leatherique. I applied liberally and then threw plastic seat covers on while leaving my seat heaters on while driving and then leaving it in the sun during daylight hours for 24+ hours...

    Woolite + water smell

I've done my personal car with a Woolite & water mixture at different strengths because A. It's cheap and B. It really does a great job cleaning things. I always rinse with water after my Woolite mixture and then top interiors with 303. Has as anyone experienced an unpleasant smell with this...

    Softest. Paint. EVER!

Was it solid black? Because solid black takes about 50% more work to polish than Tesla's metallic Obsidian black, and it's always tempermental. Because these paints get so badly etched. The scratches come out quickly with a not-too-aggressive approach, but the etching gets so deep I can't...

    Softest. Paint. EVER!

Maybe I'll get flamed for this, but in my honest opinion, HD paint correction supplies have a lot of resilient non-silicone fillers in them. I can "correct" solid black paint and then get a rotary and a foam cutting pad and heat the panel up, and all the etching and sanding marks reappear...
