I always hand wash my rinseless sponges with Dawn or Palmolive dish soap. The sponge always comes out really clean. I use a similar procedure when washing foam polishing pads. Come to think of it, foam polishing pad cleaner would probably work really good to clean foam rinseless sponges.

Which products do you usually use to wash and dry your Jetta? I'm wondering if over time they broke down whatever holds the microfiber fibers to the towel.

You could also try using a washing machine cleaner product such as affresh. It's usually a powder that you pour into the washing machine and run it with an empty load to clean out the machine.

The lint roller could be a factor since it could be leaving some adhesive on the microfibers. I always air dry my microfibers and don't have any issue with lint. Also, sometimes it can be a case of sticky paint that leaves lint on the surface.

If you have the IK Foam Pro 2, then you would use .84 ounces with 41 ounces of water for a PIR of 2%.

I highly recommend using ear protection with the IK E Foam Pro 2. It sounds like a jack hammer.
