    Is IPA wipe down necessary after yellow/white products?

    Well, whadaya know? Looks like I shamed the sun into coming out of hiding. The verdict? No residue with the Rupes Keramik Gloss Fine Gel Polish. Awesome. And that settles it, I'm switching to Rupes. I'll have to get a 15 to complement my 21 and my mini. I'm really impressed with the LHR 21 MarkII.

    Is IPA wipe down necessary after yellow/white products?

    They're really not holograms as in rotary holograms. Hologram is just a term I'm borrowing to describe the phenomenon. They are VERY slight. In fact, so slight that I don't usually bother removing them when I do my own car. Unless I'm going to GoodGuys or another top show. But, the AZ sun is...

    Is IPA wipe down necessary after yellow/white products?

    Thanks for the response. And I do appreciate it! So, don't take this the wrong way. I live in the land of the scorpion and I have a friend who has a thriving pest control business. On our local community Facebook page he is so well liked that customers post there and go as far to say "I've...

    Is IPA wipe down necessary after yellow/white products?

    Yes, an old dog can teach himself new tricks. Over the last 5 years my main system has been Flex 3401 coupled with Menzerna FG400, SF3500, Power Lock and Color Lock. I haven't had any cars that didn't respond well to this system. Very good system. Very powerful system. Awesome products. But to...

    Removing slight Menzerna 3,500 residue

    For the FWIW category. I have been jeweling a freshly painted (>30 days) black car. I use Menzerna products. The clearcoat on this car is soft as butter. In fact I've never encountered a cc so soft. (WTH?). So, when I would get to removing the SF 3,500 a noticeable but trace residue would...

    ::OPINIONS:: 1st Time Coating

    ^^Bingo. We have a winner.^^ I'm a little troubled by the "marketing" as well. Maybe it's the chemist in me. Maybe it's my "Logic 101" mentality. Who knows? But, I do think the implications of the following language should be addressed. Wolfgang Perfekt Finish Paint Prep is a powerful cleaner...

    The dieback was killing me...

    Puckman, No, it's not the original paint. It was repainted the Valencia Orange after we media blasted it and did all the necessary body work. Shrinkage and dieback are used synonymously and really just look like micro orange peel. As you see above for my car, there is also solvent pop to go...

    The dieback was killing me...

    Thanks guys. I guess I should have given more info. The 69 Camaro is my daily driver (good weather only). We got it on the road about 3 1/2 years ago. About 30,000 miles driven since then. It's a 3-stage paint; BASF Valencia Orange. 5 layers of clear. I've compounded it twice so the vast...

    The dieback was killing me...

    The dieback on my 69 Camaro has been bugging me for several years. But, I've put off wet sanding it out to let the Arizona heat work on it for three summers. Hopefully it won't come back. :mad: 3M 2000 grit by hand. 3M 3,000 & 3M 5,000 discs with PC7424. Menzerna FG400 with PE14 and 3M wool...
