    How to properly clean pads?

Hi everyone! I just received a large order from Autogeek on Thursday! I got to try everything out today on my wife's car and mother in law's car! I'm trying to find out the best way to clean the LC pads. I don't have a pad washer and I don't have a rotary. I did a small search, but I'm out of...

    Removing fine scratches?

Hi everyone! I'm looking at removing some scratches on my boss's '08 Silverado ( red in color ) on his tailgate. There's about a 5"x5" section of scratches. They aren't deep at all and disappear when water hits them. Looks almost like a scotch brite pad hit it. I think today I'll be buying a...

Pictures from Detailing Boot Camp Day 1

Mike, I can no where near express how greatful I am for being able to attend this class! I truly appreciate your gratitude, kindness, and patience for taking the time to show us what it takes to be a better detailer. With that being said, if ANYONE is thinking about taking this class, do not...

    Chamois vs. Waffle weave?

Great advice! I will look into the guzzle. What is the proper way to clean it? I have seen some people spray it off every 2-3 cars. Then do you wash it in the washer at the end of the day?

    Chamois vs. Waffle weave?

Hi everyone! I have a quick question. I need to get some advice on a drying towel. Our company does dealership lot washes. We need to know the best way to dry the car. We spray the car off with RO water and were wondering the differences between a waffle weave towel and a chamois. We need...

    1988 Bayliner Capri

Hey everyone, this past weekend I decided to detail my (old) boat before I sold it this past Wednesday. The boat is a 1988 Bayliner Capri 1952. The outside was pretty dull, no shine or anything of that nature. It took me roughly 8 hours to do the boat completely. It turned out rather well...

    Spotless water?

I use a RO system from All Florida Water. Works well when I do dealership spray off's (before the sun rises) and I never have water spotting issue's.

    Commercial Vehicle Insurance?

Hey everyone, when I was first starting this up and I was getting quotes on business insurance in general and they were saying that I would need commercial vehicle insurance. Does anyone else have this? I pay $125/month for full coverage insurance on my truck now, but if I went commercial it...

Normal psi for standard water hose?

Wow, that looks awesome. The only thing I would be worried about with the 12v set-up, would be killing the battery. BUT, I could wire up a dual battery set-up with a selector switch, and just switch to battery #2 only while the truck is sitting and just run the pump off of that. Then when I...

Normal psi for standard water hose?

I don't want to run the risk of burning up the pump. Since I'm just getting into this, I need to make sure I have a back up (pressure washer) and I would much rather use just a garden hose set-up. Thanks for that link! I don't know why I didn't think about that, since it's a rather commen...

Normal psi for standard water hose?

Hmmm... This doesn't sound like an ideal way to make it work. Any other suggestions to be able to use a garden hose and nozzle with a mobile business?
