Ok so I know they make rain-x and aquapel and so other high end glass coatings made specifically for glass. But are they better than say using a paint coating like pinnacle black label surface coating and others?
Actually I don't dunk anything into anywhere until I give it a good rinse with a strong spray of water. LOL!!! And most of the time the brush is very clean and the dirt does not get trapped in the brush like it does with a mitt.. the brush just loosens the dirt and then the rinse washes it away...
It's not about soft to be honest. It's about surface area and how the dirt is agitated by the brush and that the dirt does not get stuck in the brush and then ground into the paint like a wash mitt does. Even using the two bucket method!

thanks for your reply...
maybe ill do a little scientific experiment with something and see which one truly scratches the paint the most.. I have seen someone do a demo using the coin operated car was with the brushes and it scratched the crap out of the paint!! But I was thinking those brushes...
I recently had a discussion with a very good detailer from ny . And asked him what he thought about boars hair car washing brushes the large ones instead of microfiber wash mitts..
He said that brushes only agitate the dirt and wash mitts pick up the dirt. So he said he would not use a boars...
