I also have the 3M film on my car. I've been told not to use anythign containing abrasives as it can cause the film to become brittle. I heard Larry Kossilla say once that you can polish clear bra, although you need to be extremely careful. I'd imagine it melts pretty easy.

Which APC did you use? I tried Spray-9 but didn't have very good luck.

I'm not sure about the Mothers, but plastix says its for clear plastic. I'm guessing its safe for all colors though?

I'm not needing it on the screen, more of the lid. Can anyone suggest a couple products for this application? I'm not 100% on what I'm looking for. I see products for clear plastics, I'm not sure it'll work on the black glossy plastic. Others with cleaners and protectants.

Is there any risk of using a product like that and further damaging the finish on these things? I can't imagine polish on a laptop would behave differently than that on a car.

Actually they are a pretty bright blue. In direct sunlight the metal flake really makes them glow. Its hard for the camera to capture. Sadly, i think this will be the last year i leave them on.

Havent had time to put my summer wheels back on.
