My technique concerning the 3401, Menzerna products, and Hybrid pads

I'm not Mike, but what i know is, that Menzerna specifically developed the FG400 with lower speeds on rotary polishers in mind (production detailing in car manufacturing plants, not aftermarket paint shops). Therefor it just behaves not as good on higher speeds as it does on lower speed. And...

My technique concerning the 3401, Menzerna products, and Hybrid pads

Too bad you cannot get the hybrid pads in Germany. :( No german business (or even in the EU) is selling them, so i would have to import them from the USA which means customs duty, high shipping costs et. al. :(

trouble with Menz SF4500 via FLEX

In Germany Menzerna recommends fairly hard pads for all their finishing polishes. Their own finishing pad is similar to an orange Lake Country pad. They have a soft pad, but Menzerna recommends this only for their sealants.

    High speed Autobahn driving

No, the Maut is still in discussion. We pay taxes for actually having a motored vehicle, no matter if it's a car, a motorcycle of any kind or a truck. Some special cars are exempt from paying taxes. And no, i'm not located in Cologne, but in Eschweiler, which is 50 km west of Cologne, but i...

    High speed Autobahn driving

Yes, this including everything. If someone really pays 5-6 thousand Euros he better never get the drivers license in Germany ever, because this means that he's using far more lessons in the Fahrschule than really needed. Well, try the Autobahn around Cologne or Düsseldorf or in the Ruhrgebiet...

    High speed Autobahn driving

These days the usual fee for a drivers license is around 2000 €, give or take a few. And 40% of the different german Autobahnen are in fact speed limited, especially around the bigger cities where high traffic is common. And i don't know with what you compare the Autobahn, but there are a lot...

    Flex3401vrg or Rupes Bigfoot?

I'm just in the process of preparing my 95 Corvette in bright-aqua metallic for a tomorrows car show and use almost exclusively my Flex 3401. I have a DAS6 DA polisher as well, but most of the time it just collects dust except when i wanted to use microfibre disks for compounding. But now as i...

    New guy in Germany

Welcome, and a nice car that you got. :) @Theo_Auto_Fines Mustangs are quite common these days in Germany. You see them a lot more than Camaros, Chargers/Challengers and even Corvettes. People start to realize that the US cars offer a lot of value for the money you pay for them. :)

LC Hybrid Finish pads vs Meg MF Fin discs?

Buy them if you have a PC or a Griots DA or similar and need more cut than you can get from foam pads.

LC Hybrid Finish pads vs Meg MF Fin discs?

If you don't have the mf pads already, then don't buy the Meguiar's MF discs for the 3401. I just used them, because i already had and wanted to try them.

LC Hybrid Finish pads vs Meg MF Fin discs?

I didn't find that MF pads are too grabby on a Flex 3401, but they do need some serious cleaning after each panel (much more than with a non forced rotation DA) and imho you need to change them for a new and fresh one after every other panel. Worked with the cutting discs on speed 4 without any...

    Windscreen polishing with Flex 3401

To be honest, i doubt that it's possible to polish them out. Of course you can clean the windscreen with a good glass polish and the flex as a step before using a glass sealant, but don't think you can lessen the appearance of the small stone marks. Imho all that helps against these (especially...
