Just to clarify: You are using LC 5.5" flat pads with a 6" backing plate? Shouldn't the pads be bigger than the backing plate? (ie: 6.5" pads on a 6" backing plate) Chris

Why are you choosing to use the Lake Country 5" backing plate vs the 6 inch that comes with the Griots 6" DA? Is the 6" with 6 1/2" pad just too big for your tastes or is it something else? Are the backing plates easy to change out? Like use the 5" most of the time with Griots DA and switch out...
