Wow I need to start reading my posts before I submit them. Tool junky not tool kinky. Auto correct has a whole different conversation going on here
I have only done a couple for family. Far from a business .
Wouldn't mind doing some on the wekends for extra cash to buy more detailing/ hobby gear.
I currently own a gg6 and have the 3" backing plate and pads that I use. I've never got into anything where I needed to wet...
I did a search and came up with the 3M discs. If I understood it right you need to add a foam spacer to those. These look like they have the foam spacer and are cheeper. Is that correct?
Thanks for the link

Currently I have a gg6 w/3,5&6" backing plates and a Rupes 15 w/5" mequiars microfiber cutting pads and a handful of different foam pads. For polished I have some menzerna fg400 and sonax perfect finish. For sealant I was thinking optilens.
I could correct my lenses with this combination but I...
Hi all,
I am trying to get my vehicles looking good again.
I just got a griots 6" da and have a nanoskin autoscrub on the way.
I own a 06 limited Toyota tundra (white) and a black 01 1.8t vw jetta. The jettas paint is not in bad shape but has some scratches and swirls. I would like to...
I think I will try a electric unit. I would think they are more than enough for washing csrs, cleaning aluminum handrails or cleaning siding or gutters.
I'm looking at a blue clean AR ar390ss. Has auto shut off to pump when trigger is released.. looks to have good reviews.
I think this will...
Hi All ,
I've been seeing some mixed reviews on electric pressure washers. I would think for home maintenance they might not have enough pressure but are they ok for cars. What I am most concerned with is reliability. A sales person at the local hardware store said she wouldn't even waiste...
Thank you all for the advice. I think I will get the griots garage w/5" backing plate and a nanoskin with some kind of clay lubricant(??? Recommendations) and an a upholstery/carpet brush.
This will keep me busy for awhile then I can get the neglected paint to a point where I can see how much...
Thank you, I wasn't able to find a griots on craigslist. A couple pc 7424xp came up that looked to be in good shape but not really good deals when I factor in gas and time to go pick them up.
Should I get a 6" or a 5" gg?
Thank you for the responses. I didn't even think of craigslist. The other one I was thinking of was the rupes duetto but I wasn't sure if the nanoskin or the brush attachments would fit on it.
I'm going to look on craigslist now 😊
Thank you.
