Right! I took the plate off to lube the felt ring anyway,but, IT WAS VERY LOOSE from the factory and would have been a problem.

Re: Griots Random vs 7424xp EXACTLY! That is what happened to me with the UDM! All the hype about the extra power was irresistable. It blew up after very few uses, but was out of warranty. The actual use I got from it was not worth the price at all.I've been waiting for reviews on Griots...
