Thanks everyone, I kinda had a feeling that it was wrong. But this guy was really convinced that it works. I tried to explain to him that products like this already exist eg. AIO. But I guess you can't convince everybody. I thought I would just ask. I was polishing the car when he came up to...
I was told tonight while buffing a Lincoln towncar that I could save time and mix my sealant with my polish. I'm using Menzerna products( super intensive and power lock). This doesn't sound right at all, but I don't know everything and I'm always willing to learn. if anyone could shed some...
Thanks guys, it wasn't that bad to buff, just treated it like any other finish ( least aggressive first). Rsurfer your right I missed that part of the article. I think I'll always have something to learn. This thing is really coming out nice. Will post pics when I'm done

I read the article that mike Phillips wrote where he let the meguiars product sit overnight on the paint and went through different steps, this is why I thought it would be different and I thought most of the newer clears are much harder

Just wondering what you guys are using, product wise, pad selection and buffer type. I have flex rotary and flex and PC orbitals. As far as products I have full line of Menzerna and the pads are LC CCS pads. The paint isn't that bad but it is single stage so I know this is a different animal...
I use the DP pad cleaner (powder) in a washing machine (cold water). Then dry them in the drier using no heat. They really come out clean and work add good or better than new. This may or may not be the best way but it works for me. Oh and what ever you do don't let any softener or heat get to...

I would buy a trailer with shelving. Maybe a 6x10. It would free up room in the truck and look more organized. But that's just my opinion. Good luck

I tried both of the megs and mothers and maybe it was the qd but I liked the megs a little more. Recently I bought some pinnacle and some XMT clay and I like those more than the otc's. But then again it is only my opinion, none were awful. The only bad experience I had was I thought I was...
That's what I needed to know, sometimes you need another set of eyes on it. I read that before in the product description but read on the forums that it was not diminishing. Thanks for the clarification

Just was wondering if the abrasives in XMT 360 Are diminishing or not. I've read that they are but then I see people say they aren't. Just need a little clarification from the experts. And if they aren't can I reactivate the abrasive with a small Spritz of water
