How Agressive can I get with a scrub Ninja - Best Advice for Steering Wheels

I have a clean steering wheel - fairly well maintained from new . It's just not matte black but it's a satin black---PATINA...... I suppose hand oils are in-evitable even after cleaning. After a stronger cleaner, it does feel more -matte- and does look a bit more flat black but that only seems...

How *clean* is your car before a mechanic touches it

It's just a covered brake flush. I even considered rolling into the shop on snow tires (even at these current temps), to mitigate potential damage to the summer wheels. DIY fluid easily doable.....but cycling the ABS module is a specific service program....which I probably should cough up the...

How *clean* is your car before a mechanic touches it

Final -in service:warranty-maintence- visit. Generally, when I bring the cars in for service, I aim to bring it in as immaculate as possible. I do have the usual laminated placards and hang tags for the Do Not Wash in Bi-Lingual Language already... But the cars even cleaner than if...

    AutoFiber Mitt on a Stick

Circling back after using it 3X. I have it setup with the dragon plush cover. The sponge inside the cover is quite thick....soaks up a good amount of water. I don't think I've even bothered doing a half pass on the SUV and re-dunking it in the bucket. It does make for extremely quick work of...

    Microfibers are super linty.

Even after all these years.....I still haven't concluded it. What cause MF to *lint rot*.....My MFM started lifting badly after a a few uses. To the point. where I don't even bother using them at all. All other makes/manuf (In daily rotation is TRC and Griots PFM) have never developed this issue .

Whats the go-to wash mitt now days?

Re: fluff bits. IME, it doesn't shed but just due to the nature of the strands, in certain spots of the car, maybe also due to body panel/seam/gap, etc, it may -catch- and a fiber might snag when you continue making the pass on it. Out of all the media styles, I still prefer this one though

Kinda Nice Not Having to Do the Work....

WELP....it was clean for at least half a day until I got home and pollen is just dusted. I'll have to find that old thread and re-read it . Something to the effect of an electrical ground on the panels, etc - and its effect of static, pollen etc. Not sure if those theories in that thread...

Kinda Nice Not Having to Do the Work....

Car was at the -pro shop- for some post PPF touchups. This time of the year, pollen galore I gotta say tho....it really is kinda refreshing picking up a nice clean car when dropping off a dirty one and not having to do the legwork.....HA. Too bad he's in a different state over. If he was...

Do you put anything on you Steering Wheel

I have never even looked, considered or even read up on Combo Products....in my mind, a product is a direct purpose application....does the cleaner in the 3-in-1 , how effective does the conditioner portion of it work due to the cleaner function in it as well. I was thinking about Colourlock...

Do you put anything on you Steering Wheel

I keep my steering wheel raw post cleaning....figuered the hand oils in between the next wipedown is enough..... I was on Colourlock site and noticed they had a steering wheel refinish kit Mine is nowhere near that but the LSP they advise is shield...

AutoFiber Scrub Ninja - Anyone use it -long term-

18 months later......I bit the bullet and used my Scrub Ninja on my Steering Wheel and Outer Bolsters for the 1st time. I did not do a pre-clean of the steering wheel before but with the same interior cleaner on the scrub ninja, it did bring my steering wheel down to *matte* whereas with the...

Useful tip for the cheap clear foam cannons

I think that just with the territory of it being clear plastic ? Similar to HDPE vs PET bottles ? I love the super clear PET bottles for shampoo and such. But if course I drop it, it cracks, it shatters......still use PET bottles as I prefer the clear look

    AutoFiber Mitt on a Stick

Yes and no...that's my biggest thing with wash media. I do like to feel a tactile response....which tells me which panels are dirtier and which panels are just gliding...with this setup, I lose all that. I float my mitt lower or higher on the panel.....depending on feedback one gets when *hand...

Haven't used it but unpacking impressions. Handle I was thinking 2 pieces....for shipment purposes. It is in 3 pieces. All 3 yo thread together n , which is nicer than the pushbutton QuickLock of the supper terrible twist-lock compression style for these sort of wands... Granted, my carpal...
