    Bug Removal

I'm a nay on the PB Bug Squash. I just didn't see an appreciable difference between soaking bugs with Bug Squash and soaking them with an APC. Also, I tend to err on the side of having fewer one-gallon jugs to store.

    Drying Aid

I use HD Speed once/year on my cars. Then on maintenance washes, I use Meg's Quick Detailer or one of the Meg's spray waxes as a drying aid. It's inexpensive and my cars never stop beading. The Meg's QD doubles as a clay lube.

does anyone keep a jump starter in their vehicle(s)?

Absolutely invaluable. Mine is the size of a deck of cards. Also can charge phones and other devices. $50 has bailed me out 3-4 times, if you include boats.

CarPro Denim pad and Meguirs M105 not working on orange peel

CarPro Denim pads and M105 is the exact combo I used on a section of my car that was repainted and had minor-to-medium orange peel. I would say I worked an area 3-4 passes, less than 20 seconds and got noticeable improvement. The pads get gunked up fast, for about a 1' x 2' area, using four...

    Menzerna Confusion

I still have a bottle of 106 FA (now SF-3500 or 3800), jewels a BMW finish like nothing else I've found.

    PC vs Flex

I own both machines. The Flex will cut your buffing time in half, at least. I now use my PC with 3" pads for tighter areas, great 1-2 combination.

She put some thought into her spam at least.

And now for something completely different - a little levity in light of the current issues of the day

I'm going to say no to using ONR for this wash. Actually, I wouldn't wash it at all, looks great like that.

    COVID-19, Game plan???

My own personal strategy is to practice some fairly strong social distancing and ride it out at least past the first peak of cases that hit the hospitals. Roughly 5% of people who get the virus end up hospitalized. If I'm unlucky and am among the 5%, I don't want it to be during the peak when...

They're Even Out of Toothpicks ...

Why is everyone buying TP? This is a respiratory illness. And why is everyone going to Costco? Our local grocer had pretty much everything. I have some elderly neighbors, they were going to the grocery store, THEY TEXTED ME and asked if I needed anything. Talk about feeling guilty. Overall...

    Question about automatic car wash

I'm always interested in this kind of thing. Perfect chance for an experiment. Record the day you apply the Collinite, keep track of the number of washes, tell us if the car seems protected (beads water, etc.) in the Spring.

Using Iron-X in a rinseless wash situation?

I have had this happen by trying to treat too many panels at once. I caught it fast and was able to re-wet the area with ONR and wipe it off fairly easily. However, this results in more Iron-X (and smell) getting into your towels, so it's preferable to be able to rinse off the Iron-X. Also, once...

    Winter cleaning options/products

Rinseless wash can be done in a garage with no drain. I did it for years. Wash the car, go have lunch, by the time you come back, the water on the floor has dried. Might take longer in the winter though.
