I haven't used Gloss Coat but, when I got my new car in May, first thing I did was give it a coat of Opti-Seal. Since then I've used Pinnacle Liquid Souveran over the Opti-Seal.
If that's the case, I go to a local touchless and only use the high pressure wand in RINSE. I get the majority of the dirt/dust (crap) off and after a two mile highway drive home (at 70 plus = dry car). I then do my waterless wash. Works for me.
We're in severe drought condition here and...
I must be lazy. I've used WeatherTech mats, for the Winter for years. Never used anything on them. Vacuumed occasionally during Winter, rinsed off in the Spring and put away. Still look good.
Have to get a pair for my new vehicle in a month or two.
My new GLE400 has a "black package" which utilizes black chrome and black powdercoated metal trim. I have been using the same products (Opt spray wax/Pinnacle wax) on the body and the trim.
Great review Mike. I'll have to try a sample sometime in the future. That's exactly the same process I use for my Optimum Leather Protectant. I also use it for trim.
