How Much Does Wax "Really" Do For Perfect Paint?

I agree with this. Certain sealants will have a darkening effect. I think this thread is going away from its original post question that is will wax make a MAJOR difference in gloss & depth. Clearly, even on color charged waxes they only change the tint of color, NOT gloss or reflectivity. Ive...

How Much Does Wax "Really" Do For Perfect Paint?

Totally agree with you Mike. Every product has its place, every now and then I like to open a tub of old school M26 and enjoy waxing my personal car just to enjoy my time. Though when you do this for pay, and dealing with other peoples cars and expectations, I look for the latest and most up to...

How Much Does Wax "Really" Do For Perfect Paint?

I couldnt agree more. I also respect Junkman's opinion. I may not agree with everthing he says, but he is a professional detailer and backs up what he says, unlike most. Its 2014, people are still arguing about car wax? No one on this forum, or any forum for that matter would be able to...

Spot correction of Guards Red Porsche

Nowhere near the cut of M105, HD Adapt would have the cut similar to Megs Ultimate Compound, but finishes like a fine polish. Where as UC would NOT finish down like a polish, especially not on soft paint. Its very pad dependant, so you can adjust its cut level by using different pads. For your...

Need Compound & Polish votes and advice

Or you can just use HD products with a Rupes+Orange B&S pad. Killer combo. My vote goes for HD Cut and HD Polish...for a better non diminishing abbrasive product line.

    Review: DP Wheel Coating

Very thorough review as usual Marc! You know I trust and value what you have to say. Ive been very pleased with several DP products, which work well compared to alot of the over-hyped PBMG products. Outstanding job Marc. Maybe you can help me pick out some stuff for the GT-R :)

    Audi paint help/suggestions

Seems like you dont have enough experience with Audi paint. How do you explain my ability to correct the TT's paint on more neglected areas with something as UC and a foam pad? Claiming that all Audi paint is rock hard is incorrect. This is why I stated cars paint varies from year to year...

    Audi paint help/suggestions

On the 2002 Audi TT I did on Sunday, the paint responded well with HD Speed. The paint on it was not as soft as some Japaneese paint systems though. Again the Audi was an older model, and the paint will vary even from car to car of the exact same model/year.

Review: NEW 2014 Mothers Back-to-Black Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner

Glad you enjoyed it HateSwirls. Setec, way to give the product a shot. Your results are similar to mine. This product isnt going to perform miracles, it just works. Many members here doubted the product because its from "Mothers". I can only help to chuckle sometimes :)

    M205 question

M205 is so easy to use. It wipes off effortlessly. Anything beyond easy to remove is more user error than the product itself.
