What is the longest lasting/most durable DIY ceramic coating? My wife will likely be getting a new DD soon and I'd like to put a coating on that will last the longest (including through northeast winters) with the lowest maintenance. Thanks in advance for suggestions.
It appears some lovely person opened their white car door into the side panel of my wife's brilliant black '13 Audi A5. As you can see, the dent is a little smaller than a dime with white paint residue. Without going the body shop route, I'm wondering if I can at least cover the white paint...
I use about 5-6 pads as well for the A5, I get away w/ one less on the Cayman since the hood has protective film. I use the towel method to clean them off and then switch after a panel.
I'm switching from 6" to 5" pads and would like some advice on what to get for paint correction. The two vehicles I'll be caring for are a brilliant black Audi A5 (paint is hard as nails) and an atlas gray Porsche Cayman S (paint is soft as butter).
I've been using the regular Lake Country...
It all depends on the dilution rates of the soap. On my Gilmour I use 2 oz CG Citrus to 32 oz water. For Optimum I need to go up to 4 oz. I've found the best setting for me is #2 on the gun. I also make sure to shake up the solution before getting started. You'll have to experiment but half soap...
8 x Cobra gold plush Jr, 2 x Cobra gray towels for wax removal, 36 pack of Zwipes for interior/glass/tires, Dry Me Crazy for drying, 2 x Viking waffle weaves for door jambs, trunk, etc. 6 x MF Madness blue/gray towels for ONR rinseless washes.
Bottle of QD and MF towels in a baggie in the trunk. Also have the same thing in my wife's trunk although she's never, to my knowledge, used it. My wife and others are respectful when they are in the car. If I see something that leaves a fingerprint, etc., I let it go. Not worth the conflict...
I want to use Meg's D114 Express Wash as a spray waterless wash. Is the dilution rate really 1:128, even for a spray waterless? That is, 1 oz. to 1 gallon?
Thanks in advance.
