My hood never seems to look clean. I realize it is a horizontal surface so it will get/show more dirt. When we washed the car today, I actually washed the hood twice...right after the roof and at the very end. Does anyone do anything special for their hood? I am using Eiman Fabrik shampoo...

Just a note as well...there doesn't seem to be any damage from rocks, etc on the exterior yet. The cloudiness just seems to be around the edges and and a few other areas.

I had my headlights restored professionally about 8 months ago. They looked great, but there appears to be some cloudiness coming back....looks like it is on the inside. Below is a pic. Any easy way to fix this? Also, any product to prevent this in the future? Thanks!

I was thinking about CLR. They are just the stock rims, so they aren't chrome or anything special. If I can get the rust off, how would I protect them...wheel wax or a product like that? What do I have to watch for with the CLR?

Yes, I am kind on in a conundrum at this point. I am leaning towards still not using the detailing spray. I am good with how it looks without it and would still rather sacrifice the extra shine for less possibility of swirls. Now, for the VW, I am going to give the spray a chance. It is gray...

We have been using a leafblower, however it still leaves mini-trails of water that we "blot" off with the MF towel.

Yup, the paint is very soft...even from my limited experience with cars. My next one will be Alpine White for sure! How much detailing spray do you use...I've heard one spray per panel, but that seems like not enough...
