There is a detailer on another forum who very subtly puts his last name in every photo as a watermark... Trying to find it is like reading a "where's Waldo" book, but if his photos are hijacked, he'll know it.

I wash in the shade, so the foam drying on the car is a moot point for me. I let the foam dwell on the surface for a few minutes, the do my 2 bucket wash and rinse. I foam it again and then do my claying using the foam and soapy water as a lubricant, then rinse again.

I have a Husky gas pressure washer that I use for my foam gun. It has three tips, 25 degree fan, 15 degree fan and pinpoint. I use the 25 degree tip for cleaning wheels and wheel wells if they are exceptionally dirty.

I've used Detailer's Xtreme Foam Formula Auto Shampoo and Zep's Blue Max in my foam cannon. Both provide a nice dense foam.
