    Reset Dilution Ratio?

As an update to this thread: I e-mailed CarPro support asking about the Reset dilution ratio for a iK hand-held pump sprayer. A rep replied back that a 1:9 ratio should be used, and therefore I should put 3.2 ounces of Reset in my foam cannon. I responded to clarify that I was not asking...

    Reset Dilution Ratio?

briarpatch, I watched Brian's video. He said he added 1 ounce to the IK Foam 9, but didn't say how much water was in it. I think it holds 1.3 gallons, but it looked like it was less than half full when he started. That wouldn't be close to the 500:1 recommended ratio. A much stronger...

    Reset Dilution Ratio?

Thanks for all the good info in your replies. I am starting to wonder if I should return the unopened Reset and get something else that doesn't have such high water to product ratios. Is Reset even appropriate for use in a handheld pump foam sprayer?

    Reset Dilution Ratio?

I just bought some CarPro Reset. The bottle instructions say to dilute 500:1 and gives an example of 1.35 ounces per 5 gallons. If I use it in a handheld pump foam sprayer with 1/2 gallon or less of water, that ratio works out to something like 1/10 of an ounce or less of Reset. It would be...

Handheld Pump Sprayer - Capacity Needed to Cover Whole Car?

I watched some youtube videos about the SPTA, and considered ordering one. The video reviews were mixed - some liked it; some didn't.

Handheld Pump Sprayer - Capacity Needed to Cover Whole Car?

Thanks for the further insight. I may be guilty of using too much soap. I was using 3 ounces of Mega Foam in the foam cannon. I just now read the instructions on the bottle and it says to use 1-2 ounces. I think I got the 3 ounce idea from youtube.

Handheld Pump Sprayer - Capacity Needed to Cover Whole Car?

Evo77, I have been using a MJJC Foam Cannon Pro with a pressure washer to foam the SUV. It has been so hot here that even in the late evening, the soap dries very fast and leaves a residue (I have been using Adams Mega Foam - just got the Reset recently, but haven't used it yet but will now...

Handheld Pump Sprayer - Capacity Needed to Cover Whole Car?

I want to use a handheld pump sprayer to apply soap solution to my SUV (planning to use CarPro Reset). I have seen the posts and videos about adding a schrader valve to the sprayer, and strapping a portable compressor to it, to eliminate the need to re-pump during application. What I am not...

Rookie Here - Blotchy Film on New Car After Washing - What Did I Do Wrong?

Thanks for the additional comments. I will towel dry from now on when (if) I spray Flex on the panels, and will use much less product. Lesson learned.

Rookie Here - Blotchy Film on New Car After Washing - What Did I Do Wrong?

Thanks, all. Before seeing your replies, I washed it again tonight, trying to make sure the soap didn't dry before I had a chance to rinse it off. I didn't use Flex this time, just foam cannon, contact wash, rinse with deionized water, and this time towel dried using a quick detailer as a...

Rookie Here - Blotchy Film on New Car After Washing - What Did I Do Wrong?

I'm new to DIY detailing. I got a new car a couple months ago. I put a base coat of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene Infused Flex on it right away, and have washed it a few times since, using chemicals, tools, and techniques I picked up in this and other forums, and in youtube videos. I was...
