Arrrgggghhhhhh!
I bought the Brinkman light; meh. I bought a 500W from The Depot. Better. Both - and I think I've found all my swirls. Then, I take the car into the bright, but low, evening sun. AHHHHHHH!!!! More swirls!!
Is that the ONLY way to see the hard to catch swirls?

I have 2 coats of EXVo on a 2001 beige BMW. I used Menz Final Polish II/Flex RO on the fully cured coating(s) with a ultra fine pad. It didn't seem to lose any protection; and still has the repellent propterties after a recent Chicago snow. So - can it be polished at all and keep, at least...
I have an opportunity to detail a '57 Chevy. Anyone ever work with 'old' style paint? I use a Flex and Megs 205 - 105 pretty much all the time. The guy's a car nut who is good at wrenches - and adding tons 'o swirls. Just want to make sure before I start tearing into it. Thanks.Feed back please

As I have said in another post, the Michael's modeling clay HAD TO HAVE the Do Do Slippy Lube diluted per instructions. Regular detailing spray didn't work with the modeling clay ... ie, Mothers or Griot's Speed Shine. IMHO, I will always have some Clay Magic on hand. But for lite contamination...
After doing several cars with the modeling clay, I can safely say it works good. Sometimes. When I went to try it on my neighbors sit-outside-all-the-time 08 Chevy Equinox (dark blue), it just wouldn't "cut it". Too much tree sap and other stuff. I went and got my clay magic ... wala! But...
I tried some on my wifes old Mazda and it worked great! Just as good on a side-by-side (hood) comparo with Clay Magic, fine grade. NO difference. I just had to use DoDo Slippy Lube instead of just any old spray detailer. Not convinced? Then I used it on my father-in-laws red Chevy Equinox. NO...
I have a Gilmore gun and love it. I just bought my first bottle on ONR. Can it go in my Gilmore and be worth it? I never need to use the no rinse/limited water app as I have no restrictions. I detail cars at my house. Since ONR is so slick, wouldn't that characteristic make it good for a...
Does anyone know of any retail outlets for detailing supplies - specifically Chicago area? Every once in a while I'd like to get this or that, but don't want to pay shipping for a single item. A retail store would be great for an occasional purchase. Is online shopping so dominant that you won't...
Sry - I'm not answering your question ... I'm looking to purchase the Mytee Lite ... is it good enough for a once a week detail job? Really get the crud out? Since I've not used one EVER, (except Bissels and rug octors in my house) what should I expect? Thx for taking the time for me. God Bless...
First question: why do they even make any other brand of car than a BMW? OK - I love my '01 530 sport ... and I'm just kidding. But don't knock 'em till you tried 'em. In '01 this car was voted the best car ever in an AOL poll!
Been doing my own detailing; came here to learn more. Also, my first...
