Trans Am WS6 Sunset Orange Metallic

Here is my 01 Ws6. I've had it since 2001, and just recently compounded and polished it up. IIRC, this was after polishing and before LSP. Nice find, BTW.

    Plasti-Dip? Anyone using this method?

thought about doing this to me wheels to see how it would look with black wheels and a polished lip. Also, has anyone plastidipped the inner barrel of there wheel to protect it?

    Removing polish from cowl area.

So my first time polishing, of course there is a learning curve so there is a bit of mess to clean up. There is some splatter on the black cowl area where the windshield wipers are and I am wondering what would be the most efficient way to clean that up? Would APC 3-1 be ok to use on that...

    Dots in paint?

Mike, it looks just like what is on the black porsche but worse.. I've had the car since 2003 and the front bumper has never been repainted. So I assume this is something that can't be fixed unless it is repainted?

    Dots in paint?

Figured that's what they were, but I wasn't sure as this is my first at polishing. What exactly was the cause of this?

    Dots in paint?

Dots in paint? These are only located on the front bumper and slightly on the side mirrors. The front bumper has them this dense eveywhere. It's only been hit with an orange LC pad and m205 right now and that did absolutely nothing. I have m105 here now and WG TSR 3.0 and a yellow 4" LC pad...

    Do you finish?

When compounding/polishing do you finish per panel or the entire car? For example, you complete the steps needed for the hood and then move on to the front quarter panel and repeat OR compound the hood move to the next panel and compound that so on and so on?

How do you get curves or tight areas with a D.A.?

A smaller backing plate and pads? I'm just beginning and would like to see how the seasoned pros handle tight areas. Thanks.

So I took the plunge and finally bought a 7424xp w/pad kit.

Yes. Thanks, I wanted some experienced eyes to look at it before moving on to the entire car.

So I took the plunge and finally bought a 7424xp w/pad kit.

This is my car and after washing and claying I did a test spot with a orange lcc pad with m105. I followed that up with a gray lcc pad and m205. Let me know how it looks. I know I don't have the best lighting but my phones led does a decent job showing the swirls and random scratches. I plan...
