    Advice Please

Hey everyone, I have a bit of a predicament that perhaps someone could suggest a solution to. I have to luxury of being able to detail my car at work, but the problem I have, is that often when I am mid wash I will get an emergency call (I'm a paramedic). By the time I get back from the call...

    Engine degreasers

Here are the 2 pictures I took today. I just want to make sure that these are ok to have degreaser/water sprayed on them, or if I have to cover it up. Thanks for the input

    Engine degreasers

The BMW is a 2013 and is in decent shape as I have cleaned it before (I'm hesitant because the last time I did the engine bay I had a bunch of random things like "check oil" and "battery low" indicators come on) and the other car is 2011 Acura. I will try and get some pictures tomorrow.

    Engine degreasers

I was hoping someone could give me some input regarding engine degreasers/cleaners. I have 2 vehicles - a BMW (with tons of exposed electrical connections) and an Acura. I started a semi-annual rustproofing 6 months ago. I'm using rust-cure 3000 on any metal areas with even a hint of rust...

    Question about P21S Polishing Soap

I use the polishing soap on my tailpipes mostly and haven't noticed any scratching. If your Chrome is immaculate you are probably better off using a dedicated metal sealant to avoid any potential harm. P21 soap is awesome though.

    Metro Vac & Blo question

I have the smaller one and it has exceeded my expectations over and over. Comes with plenty of attachments to get the job done and has plenty of power and capacity.

My Merino Wool Mitts...Are they still good?

Try brushing them to see if you can reduce the clumpy appearance. I have the wookie fist wash mitt and after a thorough brushing with my wife's hair brush it looked like new again. My thought is that if it's still soft when wet it should be fine.

    claying and polishing black paint

You can probably minimize the marring by using Iron X and or Tar X to dissolve all the nasty contaminates prior to claying. Do you think you may be pressing to hard while claying? I found light pressure and back and fourth motion with lots of clay lube seemed to work well.

    claying and polishing black paint

I'm a 100% rookie when it comes to the polishing process, but I just recently did my black Acura and would say I achieved around 90-95% correction. I started with the Orange Hex Logic pad with V36 - after 3-4 section passes I could still see some minor swirls... So I reapplied more product and...

To Treat or Not Treat Windshield? Aquapel Rain-X

I put aquapel on my windshield around 3 months ago. IMHO it is an amazing product. It eliminated the wiper squeaking, and the water literally flies off once you get to around 40-50 Km/h. I don't really use the wipers anymore even in the heaviest downpours. I don't think that rainX is...

Quick Take: BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Carnauba Spray Wax

In your opinion, would a carnauba spray wax, or a spray sealant like V7 be a better option for a daily driver parked outside 24/7?

First time polishing - ecstatic with the results

Wow! I didn't expect to get a reply from the man himself! My hat is off to you sir. I have learned a great detail from the autogeek YouTube channel as well as your various articles on this forum. You definitely have a way of teaching that is very easy to follow and understand. This car is...

First time polishing - ecstatic with the results

I finally got the ambition to tackle my poorly neglected 2011 Hondoo CSX paint after a long while surfing autogeeks forums and trying to soak in as much knowledge as possible. This car is my daily commuter and I sheepishly admit to using drive through car washes and the high quality wash...
