The video Gyeon didn’t want you to see

I totally understand that aspect, but if you pay attention carefully to all of his non-sponsored videos… they tend to always feature brands that have been sponsored in the past. He finds a way to bring in The Last Coat or Avalon King into his educational videos. He knows what he is doing…...

The video Gyeon didn’t want you to see

While I can appreciate Pan’s educational videos, I can’t help but notice they still feel like advertisements because he always features products from brands that have paid him or from brands he wishes would work with him (Carpro). Most of the YouTubers can take criticism or negative comments...

"New Formula" of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating

Easy way to tell. Did a certain advertiser review it with rose tinted glasses? No? Then it’s not new.

Which wax/sealant offers the highest level of UV protection?

things like leather and vinyl absorb things similar to your skin. On paint you are wiping off 99% of any protection you are applying. I think just oils in general help keep leather and things less dried out and I don’t think it is necessarily from UV protection. UV protection inside the car is...

Which wax/sealant offers the highest level of UV protection?

Your car’s clear coat is designed to absorb UV and prevent fading to your base color. Think about that for a minute…a 35-50 micron coating (aka clear coat) still fails to sun exposure over time. To think that a wipe on wipe off tiny fraction of a wax sealant of coating would have any real effect...

    Underrated products...

Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating. Still can’t believe it gets completely ignored on social media.

    Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating

when people say water spots, we are talking about spots that are not removeable. Almost permanent spots that embed themselves in ceramic coatings. The water spotting you are seeing is probably normal. True ceramic coating water spots are gnarly and almost permanent without polishing or harsh...

    Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating

I haven’t seen much of any water spotting yet. From what I’ve read, ceramic coatings are prone to water spots before they are fully cured. I’ve seen some nasty water spotting with ceramic coatings, with this one, I haven’t really seen it yet.

    Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating

I personally noticed the exact opposite. The self cleaning effect seemed to be better than ceramic for me. Water shedding seemed to be top notch from what I’ve seen.

    Post Your Beading Shots!!!

If you are parked outside under trees with heavy rain fall, pretty much no product can withstand that. The saps and oils rinsing over your paint will etch and strip most protection, even durable ceramic coatings. Don’t put too much effort into applying products on a car parked outside under...

    Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating

As was mentioned above, actual coatings are in this price range. Obviously some markup due to included components like the applicator towels and prep spray. You really can’t be comparing this to other consumer grade spray “coatings” as they really are not even in the same league in terms of...

    Best beading product?

my mistake for bringing up any YouTube comparison. My main point was that hybrid coating by Meguires was one of the best beading products I’ve ever used and then CanCoat got brought up as a comparison, so I had referenced the water behavior on scotts test. Obviously a lot of angst against...

    Best beading product?

i 100% agree with most of what you said. But again, I reiterate, at least Scott’s tests expose all the products to the same exact variables. The Chicago auto pros test is similar to pans. Different products on different sections of the car really tell us nothing about relative performance...

    Best beading product?

Never said my opinion and observations were a data point, which is why I pointed to Scott’s test. I still don’t get why there is no concern for products that can’t even hold up on a “hood sitting outside”. Bare minimum a product should hold up through Scott’s test at least a year if the product...

    Best beading product?

And just so we are on the same page, I do agree with you on a lot of things. There is no perfect test in the real world for these products. That being said, if I’m on the west, southern or south east side of the United States, sun exposure is 1000% relevant to the coatings performance. If I...
