What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Who makes the pads? In the market for some now... the crappy ones I got are separating( had to glue them with e3000, in order to finish the son in law's car)?

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finished the future son in laws seltos... Next car he gets will NOT have these wheels, I assure you [emoji41] Used m37 V2 coating after correcting with 3D One. Cleaned engine bay by spraying down with N914, and then spraying with 303 (all I had for that type of plastic). That was my first go...

    Best pad to polish windshield?

I can definitely get an ok for the blue foam purchase [emoji41] That's the reason I don't want to use the cerium oxide... real PITA to clean up, based on the last project I used it for. Could be different with the compound that are formulated mentioned above, though.

    Best pad to polish windshield?

Thanks all for the feedback! Can't justify buying a dedicated polish for this; I could mix a concoction with certain oxide powder I have lying around from another project, and have reason pads from that project, but I think it may be overkill. I "may" be able to justify getting a couple of...

Weird... I would have thought that as well. Maybe I rushed it. Will try again. Thanks!

    Best pad to polish windshield?

Watched them all already. Don't need cerium oxide based polish. I just need to get water spots off. The glass doesn't need correcting at all (I actually think some of the spots are from the plastic they cover new cars with in transit, the car is about 1 month old).

    Best pad to polish windshield?

Hi all, quick question. What type of pads do you use on your RO polishers to polish glass. Not looking to remove scratches or pock marks; just water marks, wiper streaks, etc. Reason I ask is I tried an orange foam pad with 3D One, and noticed, after cleaning it with glass cleaner, that it...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Duh...forgot to say... It was sitting outside since last camping trip in late July. Cleaned with dish soap, followed by 25% IPA for prepping, and then coated with left over McKee's 37 ceramic coating V2 (about 5 years old, but I kept it refrigerated in cobalt blue boston round bottles). Had to...

    Hercules forced rotation polisher...

ty! Trying to make a decision on a gear driven...my PC 7424 is getting a little old, although it has served me well. Looking at this, and want to stick with 5 inch pads, I'm looking at around $175. I have been eyeing the SPTA cordless, though. Just don't really know if I need cordless, but the...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finally finished my daughter's JL Willy's. Last step were the tires/wheels. Wheels got a coating of Wheel Coat from an old stash of McKee's 37 Wheel Coating (bought a long time ago, but refrigerated after opening ;)). Tires got 2 coats of my very own "special sauce", which isn't even a car...
