Thanks Eldorado2k, I have used a clay bar in the past on this car but not recently. Does compound do the same job as a clay bar?

This car is 7 years old. It is always parked outside in all weather from -30*C to +30*C. Will a wax slow down the deterioration of the paint? Is so what wax or other product would you suggest?

It's not crazing that I can see. It looks like sand has blown over the paint work. They're impact marks not cracks in the topcoat. Can I apply a black wax to fill them?

I'm wondering if I'm flogging a dead horse here. I jet washed my wife's car with Megs Ultimate wash and wax this morning and then applied Meguiars ultimate compound with a da power system. Once dry I notices scratches all over the hood that look like it's been sand blasted. So my question is, is...
