    12V Vacuums ?

Dewalt battery powered vacuum. Use it at work as a contractor and it works well and lasts a while. Maybe a bit expensive but you get what you pay for...Mine has been beaten, getting thrown around the truck and it's still going.

    Sealant questions

Hey guys So after I do my compound/polish and wash the car again...should I be claying again before applying the sealant? I have some Menzerna Power lock. Once applied, are you suppose to just leave it on the car like that for 12 hours (that's what I read)? I also read this: Am I suppose...

    Just did a side-by-side - help please!

Alright thanks. Anyone else have any info on what I'm doing wrong? And how aggressive is M105 on the Surbuf pads? I fixed some of the rust spots on my car but in some places the clear is pretty thin...I just don't want it to take it all the way off. I was just wet sanding the spots today with...

    Just did a side-by-side - help please!

I would say this panel looked like #1 '99 VW Passat Thanks but I think that the panel I was doing was quite small...around the 18"x18" like you said. What did you use to fluff the microfibers? This is on the Surbuf pad I guess you're talking about? There are definitely less swirls than the...

    Just did a side-by-side - help please!

Yea I guess that's true. The car has had a pretty rough life...12 years old and gone through 12 winters...Salty Canadian winters... Half my trunk. I think about 3 section passes. The problem is that I primed my pad and put 3 spots on it, put the pad onto the panel, started it up on speed 1...

    Just did a side-by-side - help please!

Hey guys So a few weeks ago I bought an arsenal or products which are shown here: So I started by washing and claying the car. With that done, I started with the 7424XP. At first I used a white foam pad with M205 because I've read that it's best to try and do the best job with as little...

    Is my clearcoat finished?

Thanks and yea I know it killed me to do it too...but it was just one spot and I needed to do a test to see if the clear was really gone or not. Anyway a friend of my dad (body guy) came to look at the car today and he said that clear is still there and to polish it out like you guys said...but...

100% Hydrophobic: 2011 Black VW GTi drenched in CQuartz by AutoLavish - 300 pictures

Nice work. Can you post the process you used after filling the paint chips? What did you do with the sanding, etc? I'm an newb and have to do this on my car soon. I mean obviously you wet sanded but did you do all in the general area of the fill or just on the fill. Thanks, Elliott

    Is my clearcoat finished?

Right, not these spots look dull and cloudy in person maybe it's hard to tell from the pics...but it is not over the whole area as you mentioned. Here's some pics I took to show people before I bought all my products and they recommended me the Surbuf pads. What do you think? Car paint -...

    Is my clearcoat finished?

Thanks but how can you tell exactly? And I thought that 105 was a pretty aggressive polish? I'm using it with surbuf pads...or should I try it with the orange pads I got with the kit first? The orange pads say they're for "light cutting". Thanks but as mentioned above how can you tell exactly...
