I've noticed this exact phenomena. The v7 doesn't bead very well. More like blobs. It's very odd why it does this. This is the only product that does this. Sonax detailer, CG synthetic, CG QD makes tight beads.

Does this beading look right? I applied BL a few weeks ago, topped with V7. Washed and tipped again with V7 about 4-5 days ago. Doesn't seem to be tight beads, more like blobs. Any input?

You saying the smell is pleasant? I hate the smell of it, smells like chemicals haha. But it is good stuff. Last car I applied it to, lasted around 12 months, of out door storage, harsh Canadian winter and numerous car washes.

Collinite 476s / CG XXX paste wax / Hybrid V7

BTW, I looked up some of the chemicals from the msds sheet, and it does I fact contain a form of alcohol (propylheptyl). How much? I'm not sure, could be under the more illegible areas.

Well since I have a few cars at the house, I can test on one of them. Done on a 2011 Scion Tc silver metallic. (Forewarned; I only did IPA wipe down of areas before applying. No paint correction.) So I waxed the hood with collinite 476s and the front fenders with Chemical Guys XXX paste...

I've tried at full strength and at 1:1 dilution, and I get nothing but streaks. I'll try diluting some more, but so far, this stuff fell flat on its face for me.

So does anyone know how much alcohol is contained in V7? And if will harm the longevity of wax? I just waxed with CG XXX, and am afraid I may have stripped some off. I see the msds sheet, but hard to tell. I'm wondering if I leave the cap off the bottle, if the alcohol will dissipate.

Ya I used a liquid plastic sealant I got from a restore kit some time ago. Can't remember what the name of it is, but teeny tiny bottle has done 3 sets, with half left.
