My dryers low setting generates approx 140F on low. Thinking from other areas I have read that around 140F+ is where heat can start ruining microfiber???
Pretty much line or air dry my micro fiber now but still wondering: A approx what drying temp microfiber starts to suffer damage.
20mm DA Polisher + 5.5" pad (7/8" LC orange) + Speed 6, Excess Force = Helicopter/Grenade.
Does this sound about right/bad/problematic. Or are others getting away with speed 6 on a thin orange pad on a 20/21mm long throw? Or is speed 6 pushing it on long throw with a 5" backing plate.
Just...
First time I will be applying ceramic.
Does IPA wipedown remove polish remnants/oils fully (looking at using 20% ipa wipedown solution).
Or even with a good IPA wipedown can some polish remnants/oils still linger to a certain degree.
Crazy part of me is saying to do a re-wash + ipa wipedown...
Two Coats it is!!!
Somedays I wish I owned a rat rod...... but then would probably be the exact opposite and be researching/obsessing on how to best create/add patina :wowwow:!
Know a second layer ensures coverage but how much does a second layer add in additional gloss or durability (avalonking).
I am not a professional, just an enthusiast. Know sealants layer and have done that (duragloss), this is my first foray into ceramic.
Prep work (wash/decon, clay...
Have been washing in warm water of my washer, but wanting to wash in hot. My washer warm setting is actually fairly cool/cold, my next step up is only hot.
I Understand drying hot ruins/melts microfiber ( I just line or air dry ) (no softner wash or dryer).
Is hot "wash" equally bad or no...
Cant find anywhere online. Understand it is definitely a polish/abrasive............. but wondering if it has:
(1.) Anything extra in it to make it worthwhile different than a straight polish.
(2.) Would I be just as well served/similar in using M205 instead.
If has nothing extra in thinking...
I am just a home gamer, finally got brave enough to do polish with a DA (thanks to much I have learned here). Great results got many old water spots off (swirl, etc). I swear water spots are a bane to a daily driver trying to keep up.
If I get to them in short order 1-2hrs detailing spray...
Here is an example:
On this topic/thread (see link below) the last post was by axel06 on thread page 8. When I am on thread page 1 I would like to be able to print all the thread pages (1-8) in one go but it does not make it to axel06 post on thread page 8.
Print will print all of thread...
Wanting to print a long forum thread with 21 pages. Any way to print all at once instead of having to go in page by page to print.
Sorry if this is in wrong forum, not finding correct forum to post website questions.
Thanks,
Thanks for the welcome!
Thats Stunning!!!!!!!!! I am in major Hellcat Envy mode!
Noting your combo to my Google Drive: Lake Country Blue SDO Pads & 3D ONE as the compound & then a simple switch over to Lake Country Orange SDO & 3D ONE again as a polish.
I was using the LC hybrid force pads...
Know they are both polymer sealants (read much rumors of being mostly pretty similar). Just switched over to Duragloss polish and coated with 601/111.
Have quite a bit of Z6 left. Just wanting to make sure, know the paint wont fall off just dont want it not playing nice with my 601/111...
I am mostly just a home gamer, finally got me feet wet and enough nerve from this forum and youtube to try DA polishing my own ride. Had too many water spots that were driving me nuts, would not come off by hand polishing a year ago. Knew I had to step up my game and hand polishing was not...
