Thanks :)
Yes, it was a pain, but I tried to do the most for the customer that I could while staying within a budget that worked for him. I wish I could've spent another 3-4 hours on the car, but that wasn't within his budget.
We were both happy with the final result and both happy with the...
I think you need to invest in a better camera :P
Vettes are a real pain to work on. The clearcoat takes a lot of work to get any correction out of them.
I picked up two of them on the last BOGO and so far have only used it for Clay Lube (worked amazingly well for such a small amount of product used).
I'll have to try it out as a rinseless wash this weekend.
Apparently I need to start quoting longer work times and charge a few more bucks, ha ha :)
My entire lighting setup was only ~55 bucks. 30 dollars for the 1000w halogens from Home Depot and 23 bucks for the Brinkman Dual Xenon "swirlfinder" at Academy (local sporting goods store...not sure...

I have a great M-F job and use detailing, which I love doing, as a source of extra money and it allows me to continue my hobby.
I only do full details (no wash/wax jobs) and do it about 3-4 days a month (about 1 car per...
Yes, it was outside. It took about 5 minutes to get that picture. You literally couldn't even see the swirls in that area under the sun for the most part...you had to be in JUST the right area. For some reason the Brinkman was bringing it out better than the sun...which was about the first time...
Proper prep work is the majority of the battle, but I LOVE CG Buttery Wet Wax.
It is definitely my go-to LSP on details.
I also really like Showroom FX Blaizin Maize and CG M-Seal.
I recently purchased quite a bit of DP products (including Poli-Coat) and I look forward to trying it out.
